"You can now semi-blind pre-order the five games in Indie Royale's April Fools Bundle at a recommended €/£/$10 or €/£/$5 USD contribution, and a minimum of $3.99 USD."

Seems the games have been leaked:

Defense Grid: Awakening

Explodemon

Hack, Slash, Loot

Alien Zombie Megadeath

Astro Tripper

Turn based sounds like Cardinal quest. Not on Steam but is on the other stuff so it could be the Steam debut.

Simultaneous turns as far as I know... And I've played it a bit. It's more turn-based than real-time.

The guy who made Cardinal Quest wrote a blog post about why bundles aren't good, so it's a bit unlikely.

You act like there haven't been half a dozen developers who have had this attitude that have been in bundles since.

FWIW, Cardinal Quest is already going to be in a bundle. Puppy Games (Revenge of the Titans) has expressed simial thoughts, and so have the Steel Storm guys.

Defense Grid! The tower defense sounds like Defense Grid: the Awakening (it includes the Borderlands DLC built into it.) It's a Game i've been thinking about getting for a while!

Edit: Preordered.

defense grid is a really good td game. but it has been in a bundle on steam. The indie strategy bundle with Sol Survivor, Sanctum, Revenge of the Titans, Defense Grid: The Awakening, and Anomaly: Warzone Earth. I can't find any info saying the headliner hasn't been in a bundle before though.

edit So, they wrote on their twitter that "None of the Steam titles have been in other bundles." So I'm guessing all TDs mentioned above are out of the question then.. unless...

I believe when they say that "None of the Steam titles have been in other bundles." it refers to bundles hosted by sites like IR or HiB, not a grouping of steam items under a certain nam during a sale.

One more point indicating apart from the free DLC (Borderlands DLC) included with the game, is that all IR have a main big game with other games. In that case Borderlands fits the case when compared to the other games / hints given, not to mention it IS a great gme.

Also AFAIR all those main games were presented first in hte pre-order hints, and the TD holds that place.

defense grid is a superb game indeed. think it was one of the first games i ever bought on steam actually. but still, isn't most bundle sales a grouping of steam items under a certain name? the steam sale did not have a pwyw or anything though. but I still see it as a bundle. guess it's just a definition question..

"We generally NEVER comment on what the games are or aren't, but just so people don't get too carried away, the title making its Steam key debut is not Legend Of Grimrock - it's a game that is also on Mac and Linux, as we noted."

I'd rather have a few average games (that I'm interested in) for a couple of dollars than one slightly better game (or one much better game that I'm not interested in) for a few more dollars.

About the dungeon crawler it could be one of these, if it's not Cardinal Quest.

Just read this on there twitter page

"None of the Steam titles have been in other bundles. The non-Steam (Desura and DRM-free) title was in a minor one-off bundle. FYI!"

I'll prob preorder it now because of that. Indieroyale has been good to me in the last few bundles, doubt that it will disappoint this time. (looks like it will be one of there better ones actually)

I'm temped by this. The problem is that I spent enough money this year on games that this suddenly doesn't look like a lot for a bunch of games I probably won't play. Which is a dangerous train of thought. Must resist.

How about Defenders of Ardania for the TD, the expansion not being a DLC but an expansion to the TD genre - namely, that you send troops to attack too.

That would make quite an April Fool's.
