IGN Prime is just some MKII gaming experiment... they're messin' with our minds.
My guess is: they get tons of money from sponsors, but if they said ""join for free", too many would get the goodies. Instead, they say it costs money, but they never charge gamers.

hmm, I just found out there was a coupon from ign prime that can be applied to your gamersgate account :/ I always find out about these things after I can no longer access the item. lol. interestingly my prime subscription (trial) ran out before the trial period was over...

EDIT: well, I wasn't charged, and I just contacted my bank. Weirdly enough, ign Prime says I'm charged and I have access to their codes like Rochard and King Arthur
