seriously though anyone know if this game is actually worth a $1? seems like it could be a buggy scam

edit: this is not good from what I'm understanding unless they actually sell 10 million copies noone gets their game and one dollar is used to discount buy the game at whatever price they decide....and who knows if they actually donate it to charity

Well to be fair. 10 million seems a bit excessive.
I was just reading the "About" page just now and the concept of the game intrests me. Guess I can shell out a big 1 dollar to charity. Can't wait for the game to be released.

EDIT: After more reading of the About page I concluded that I want a lot more information before donating even 1 dollar.

Lol 10 million. Just hope they will be nice and choose to give the game in the end regardless. Otherwise, as Lolcats said, it's still for charity :)

Let's wait for Notch and Garry make wars so we can buy and be sure we'll get the game for $1.

"If we don’t succeed in reaching ten million pre-orders, ALL of the money collected from pre-orders will be donated to the charity and the Afterfall: InSanity will be sold at the price of $33.90$ (this price reflects a $1 discount)."

They're never going to make it to 10 million. Heck, even 1 million is going to be tough to get to.

If everybody gives $10 like I did, 10 million is possible to be achieved.

They only specify that if they don't get 10 million preorders, all of the money will go to charity... they don't exactly say that you don't still get the game :P

Further, on the "BUY" page it makes no stipulation of not receiving the game for $1

If they only specify that you don't get the game if they don't make 10 million preorders on the video they are misleading bungholes... since I don't feel like watching their video... but I am willing to preorder their game for $1.

I'm on the fence about this one. If I do preorder, it would be at the 5 million point. Although since the bar is so high, I dont think they intend 10 million preorders.

10 million preorders? That's a whole lot! Even Humble Bundle doesn't make that many sales!

I paid 4 copies, but if I get only 4$ discount I'll open disput at paypal, noone needs this discounts, they can make half discount for preorders, not 1$ that all already paid.

10 million is a completely unrealistic goal. Hell, 1 million would be, too. Get rid of another zero, and it'd be just about possible.

To put it in perspective, Minecraft has about 3.8 million paid players, and that's total, not just pre-orders, over the span of 2 years. Minecraft has an insanely successful word-of-mouth ad campaign, and this game isn't even released yet.

It's "only $1", which would be a great deal, but you're not paying for the game -- you're paying for the possibility of receiving the game at some point, should they sell 10 million, and I just can't see that happening, ever.

As stated before, I highly doubt they actually expect to make 10 million preorders. Still, I'll check back on the 20th of November or so and see how close they are. If they are near 10 mil, I may just do it.

10 million pre-orders would easily make it one of the top ten best selling PC games in history on pre-orders alone.

As everyone says: not going to happen! If they we're reasonable they would have asked for 1 million tops. That might have been possible.
I'll drop a preorder on the last days if they get close to it.

It's a good idea, but 10 million is far too high.

I expect they'll get a lot of people clicking a certain button in Paypal that reads "Item dispute: I did not receive an item I purchased or the item I received is significantly not as described."

they only make this to get people to look to their fancy game. even the humble pack only reach like 1M in 14 days
