Grimm (36617,33694), Hitman 2 (272196) and The Descendant (153186) are known for this. I only get fail response for the other IDs you mentioned. Also Unfortunate Spacemen is free on demand which won't drop cards.

I checked because it's the first time I hear about Unfortunate Spacemen and it doesn't seem to drop cards, you probably activated it via key at some point and that's why you got it to drop them. Also the correct id seems to be 475470.

I just added it yesterday into Library after digging through SG and Friends

and got this:
ASF:V4.2.3.2 was used, AutoSteamSaleEvent set to true and steamdb was updated 19hours back

You added this sub: 81014 it changed from free on demand to store or cd key.
If anyone add it now it will fail. The new sub is 475470 and that is free on demand and wont drop card if you add.

81014 was Free on Demand, but now is Store or CD Key.
And now the new Free on Demand sub is 475470, which won't drop card.

thanx for the detailed explanation, but what to do with this , which happened a friend, who tried to help himelf screwed up the usual workaround by removing license from account instead and unable to remove/refund the 2nd purchase
even completely remove fails :(

What will happen with your Ingame-Progress, already crafted Badges and co, when "whatever Game" gets purged or Promo ends?
Is this even possible?

That link leads to a prompt asking if I want to remove the game from my account. I don't see how removing it would trigger the card drops, so could you give me a bit more instruction?

You probably own two packages, like me (See pic #1).

Then I misunderstood you, I thought you added Starter Pack, then activated Standard Editon from HB Choice, and it states that you can drop cards, but after all (for me 29h of idling), it never dropped a card ;)

You have to remove the starter pack from your Steam account, and the cards will drop afterwards.

1) If this was meant as a reply to me, you accidentally made it a regular post instead.
2) I ONLY have the starter pack (the only part of Hitman 2 that's free), so removing it will completely remove Hitman 2 from my account (and still not drop cards). According to your link, the version that dropped cards was only free for 2 weeks and can no longer be obtained.
