dota2 community is the biggest set of insert mean words here... not all of them are bad, but they have the reputation for it, its not a friendly community.

Because you dont see masterpiece games that u can get for free. It is also a pasion and addicting. I swear friends too, but they know its because of the game!

It was weird how you referred to the other person as a friend. Get insulted. Then qualified that he wasn't a friend.

When some people lose when playing an online game, they're frustrated and start blaming every single person in their team. I played a lot Lol and DotA2 and i've seen many " noob tard team" and very rarely "i'm sorry team, my bad".

Some players don't know when to stop, and show some manners.

I don't know why but all MOBA games are able to awaken the WORST in everyone...even relatively nice people become flaming trolls when playing those games O_o You have to either learn how to ignore it or avoid those games...

Because some people take it very competitively.

Because friendships are not built on one game where you won and added him instantly.

afaik, the only moba community that isn't totally crappy is awesomenauts, and league got slightly better with the new changes.

In games like Dota 2, winning comes before everything else (well not for everyone, I don't mind losing games, so long as I don't lag in them and especially if the game is really close). And uhh...a tip is that if you think you may lag, don't pick a carry. Everyone relies on the carry to help pull the team through to the end, and if you're unable to do that...well it becomes quite one sided (unless you have a second carry who can take over from you/the opposing team is playing poorly compared to your team).

If you're playing with randoms and you're looking for potential "friends", pay attention to how they treat not just you, but the whole team and especially the opposing team.

People are fags, just ignore them an move on.

It is the same with the Dota vs League argument. Just should just shut up and play the on they like and shut the fuck up about it.

dota is one of those games that require a lot of time investment(a single match last a minimun of one hour) so if shit happens at like half the match all of the effort you put all that time is gone, thats pretty much why I THINK people sometimes rage so badly in this game and mobas in general

Edit: It might help to narrow your matchmaking to lag less or find a way to throttle bandwidth when downloading
Also, ask for help, usually teammates are willing to cooperate even in pugs

Well, you ruined the game of 9 people. Removing you is a little bit harsh, but you shouldn't play a MOBA if your internet is bad. An other question: did you actually build Poor mans shield + Vanguard + Tranquil boots? I'm pretty sure, I saw a complain of yours just a few days ago, so maybe they're not entirely wrong....

In Dota 2 there is a so called "matchmaking rating" and based on you get your opponents randomly (same skill lvl opponents as you).
AND HERE COMES THE TRICK: Casual dota2 player thinks, WIN AND LOSS matters, but actually it do nothing with your rating, only your personal skills with the hero/game what matters. (But yeah, it is still harder to do anything, when you have no proper help from teammates).

And this is the reason, why is so much anger and flaming in dota games. Its not just about stats, and the "I always want to win mentallity" but about future games.

its just,u know,if u want to play some moba for fun,u go and play LoL.Or go play that new one,Smite.
Dota2 is the hardest one to grasp,u either go hardcore and get good at it,or u dont play it at all :)
It actually gets quite rewarding afterwards,i've got like 5,6 years fo Dota1 playing,and i've got like 1300 hours of Dota2.
I too get the 'hate'games,where u start hating everything and everyone.Though,i dont tend to put it out in the open,i just get pissed 'inside'.
But,its an awesome reward to play a good game,which does happen later on,after u get some progress on MatchMaking.

Main reason for 'mad' games is that those games last long.Like 40 mins average.If u dick around not knowing to play,u're sentencing your teammates to a 30,40 mins of pure tormets,because if 1 teammate feeds,its most likely that the opponent team is going to win.
