Dead Island. Rage is just a Borderlands with HD graphics (well they wish it was like Bordelands).

I have played both Rage has a VERY small map but still a good game. I really like both games I recommend you buy both.

Dead Island has bigger maps, in order to finnish is way much longer, it's funnier and it's better optimized.

I'd go Dead Island. Rage isn't as bad as people say in my opinion, especially not on sale but Dead Island is bound to be more bang for your buck if you have to choose.

I've never played Rage, so I can't say which is better than the other, but I really enjoyed Dead Island, especially if you co-op.
