DBD is such an unoptimized mess that I have to debate whether it's worth redeeming the codes because updating the game takes forever and loading it also takes too long. It's a miracle this game became as successful as it is given how shitty and buggy it runs.

Wow, this game runs really well for me. I have upgraded my pc since 2016 though. There was a time back then that it didn't run so well. Now my issue is with Star Citizen - could play it a year ago but with each update they do, it became unplayable and yeah, sucks I can't play it now until I upgrade, again.

Patching in this game is really bad compared to others. I'm not sure why you have to basically download the whole game again every single patch. I think it's close to 56GB.
As far as how the game runs, when I did play it I didn't notice any issues with performance.

It's because, for some weird reason, Steam needs to verify every single file whenever a new update is available.

Especially since sometimes we got like 2 or 3 updates a week, which basically are a few hundred MB each. You just ought to tantalize your ssd over and over again as if it's another hard-drive based cryptocurrency.

YEP, i don't know if i said it here but i surely said it on reddit. Since the last major update where steam added this (you being able to see what is what), it's more transparent to people and they see that, the 100 mb download takes ages.
Simply put BAD CODING, if you go under Steam\steamapps\common\Dead by Daylight\DeadByDaylight\Content\Paks\ you'll see a ton of pak and sig files those are basically the game. When a 100 mb goes out, it downloads it and sometimes "fucks" with a few gigs but sometimes more, like you said it's close to 56GB.

I don't play the game currently, but I do plan on it eventually that's why I have it installed. I guess that makes the situation worse for me since it's only to enter codes for now. I wish there was a way to just redeem the codes without having to launch the game.

The thing is, this is the only successful option, that has most of the iconic terror movies/games characters.
It's buggy? Yep. People playing it are toxic af? Uhum.
But until some other company comes up with a better option, DbD is gonna be the one who keeps up all the attention.

Has this calendar been wonky for anyone else? It’s looking like it might be just the days where the login bonus is rift fragments, but I haven’t gotten something for logging in every day that I have. It’s all bonus content so I’m not going to sweat it but I’m curious if it’s something that I’m missing.

You don't get the popup for rift fragments but when you join and hover with your mouse over the hiding menu on the right you will see the marker move.
The day reset was 35 minutes ago, so if you login now you should receive the 30k bloodpoints.

I’ll have to check. I’m pretty sure my rift fragments haven’t moved but maybe I was only looking at the overall progress bar rather than the level circle. The blood points I’ve been receiving without issue. I also got the 100k southrobin mentioned below. Thanks!
