Which game would you want remade or have sequel to and why? Maybe it's an old pearl.
Honestly Id love a sequel to the Black and White series and Warcraft series.

No one ever talks about it, but I loved it, Gladius from the PS2 days. I would love a sequel or a remake, the gameplay was so much fun and there has been nothing like it since(to my knowledge).

Sensible Soccer. We got a sequel in the 2000's, but it was 3D and shit. Then we got 98 on the xbox 360 arcade. Clones of it are everywhere on steam, a seasonal update with 98's match engine would be sexy for me!

Troika weren't given a change to manage it. They were forced to release early and then closed down.

Obsidian Entertainment would be the best bet.
Not just because some of the key people from Troika ended up there, but also because they're not afraid to be ambitious enough.

I've theorized a The World Ends With You spiritual successor on PC several times. Almost every time I've thought about it I've come to the conclusion that I can't adapt it to the PC without major revisions to the gameplay. It's just a game that's too specific to the DS though I think you could have some success with the Wii U gamepad. On PC it would be too weird. A drawing tablet would be a must at the very least.

Outside of that another STALKER would be nice.

One of my favourite games ever, but I'm with you, I don't see how a sequel could move to another platform without completely changing the gameplay. IMO it's one of the games that best moulded itself to the DS platform.

Good point. I haven't played it that way, though, partly because I thought it was expensive for a game I'd already played and partly because I didn't think it would work well away from the DS.

Super Mario 2D Ultra Collection HD Remaster: Basically Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World remade in the New Super Mario Bros. Style (with the levels from Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 - eReader add-ons) - plus all the Mario Land games (the ones that star Mario anyway). Actually a Super Mario Maker style-selector would be EPIC. Play from Super Mario Bros. through New Super Luigi U in the original 8-bit style, or even the Original Game Boy style with Super Mario Land graphics --- or play the all the classics in Super Mario World style. Or mix-and-match. Of course, I wouldn't be mad if they threw in some new original content as well. >:)

Along the same line, a Mega Man Collection remaster with selectable 8-Bit, 16-Bit (Mega Man 8), Big Head (Mega Man Powered-Up PSP), and all new HD "Might Number Who?" style graphics (Based off of Mega Man's Smash model, perhaps?). This would include the entire Decology of the OG Mega Man 1 - 10... And would include the Powered Up levels and bosses, as well as a selectable difficulty level for all games, from Easy, Normal, Hard, and ARE YOU CRAZY level of challenge. And it would include a Level Editor - ala Powered Up.

Of course, I'd settle for a Mega Man 11 -- or better yet -- a Mega Man Mania - like Sonic Mania - where they pull from the huge pool of Fan Game makers who know what to do with Mega Man, since Capcom obviously doesn't.. The dude who made Rokko Chan should be top of the list, as well as Mega Man Eternal, Mega Man Unlimited, and so many others.

And yes, I'm aware of the Legacy Collection. I own it. But I still want MOAR! D:

Hey, you asked. :D

Also, Dig Dug. I mean Spelunky and Steam World Dig could teach them how to surprize the world by bringing Dig Dug out of retirement. That would rock.

And Pitfall could return to rival Lara Croft and Nathan Drake.

And Pac-Man could.... Oh wait - they just did Championship Edition 2 - and a boat-load of model games. Pac-Man is fine.

I'd like to see Bioshock Infinite 2 - because I need to return to Columbia.... Not the IRL country one - the floating city one. I've never been south of Jamaica.

I think Epic's involvement really amounted to sticking their name on it as they happened to be the majority shareholders in People Can Fly. People Can Fly retain all the rights to the property. The remaster is being published by Gearbox.

I used to dream about Gabriel Knight 4 for many years, but I don't any more. Well, I still do in a way, but I don't believe it makes sense now: while there's always hope when it comes to copyright, I strongly doubt that Jane Jensen is able to write as she did in the 90s.

What I need now is for Ragnar Tornquist to be able to finish The Longest Journey saga (it's finished in a way, sure, but not really). It would be awesome if he also remembers that a good game needs gameplay and not only story, but even the format of the latest game would suffice - just for the sake of the Story itself.

Will have to come back and add stuff to this but Black and White was the best, Black and White 2....not so much for me. I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel to it.

  • Black and White
  • Command and Conquer Generals & Zero Hour desperately needed a sequel. One was being made fairly recently as an online game but it was shut down. (Act of Aggression is probably one of the closest games to a sequel for this but not satisfactorily)
  • Heroes of Might and Magic III remade, newer HOMMs aren't that good as the older ones.
  • Mount and Blade : Warband already has a sequel coming out. Nevertheless, Warband remade on the newer/a new engine would be fantastic.
  • Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion and R.U.S.E, Orcs Must Die! 2(no, I don't count the pvp/online one a sequel).
  • Unreal Tournament in old 2004/1999 style, there is a new one in development but so far it's a let down in comparison.
  • Not sure how I forgot this one in the heat of the moment but for the love of god, FREELANCER! Clicky

Now this isn't really on topic but I'd instantly buy/pre-order it if they made a Lord of the Rings : Total War.

Considering how many of my old favorites got shitty sequels/remakes, I'm gonna say none
Wizardry 9 would be the top of my list, though

Master of Orion is kinda meh (but still better than 3)
Railroads! sucks balls
Diablo 3 was a let-down
Duke Nukem... waits Forever
Sim Sucky
King's Quaalude
Turtles in Time Unshelled
Dune 2000

the list goes on and on.
There are some really good remakes, and I truly do love those, but, so many games are better in my memory than in reality, and I really don't want my memory to be shat on by a bad remake

It was awesome in graphics and cinematics, but the gameplay wasn't thought well enough. Sector-by sector conquest was repetetive and hollow, they should've implemented a linear campaign instead.

With all these remasters and remakes and comebacks, most of the stuff I wanted already came true (like grim fandango, monkey island, day of the tentacle, max payne, etc.). It'd be great if Red Dead Redemption, L.A. Noire, The Darkness, Evil Within, Until Dawn or Alan Wake got a sequel. Blur is also a very underrated game i'd love to see come back. It'd be also great if Clive Barker made another videogame. Oh and Assassin's Creed needs to go away and make space for a new Prince of Persia.

Another Darkness game would almost certainly require the introduction of the Witchblade. Personally I think a full Witchblade game in the same cannon as the existing Darknes games followed by another Darkness game would be a better option.

Honestly, it doesn't even need to be a sequel or remake. Just plain old Black & White 1 on Steam would make me very happy.
In other less nostalgia fueled opinions, a sequel to Bulletstorm would also be really nice.

Funny how both of those are owned by EA and will never see a sequel (unless EA decides to make them into mobile games or some shit). Almost as if there is a pattern with EA and most franchises that they own.
