The short version is being able to make games exclusively for computer in a pretty decent tool.
Many of the key features, however aren't added in without the developer upgrade. (Unable to modify executables files, Clickteam's runtime agreement [not draconian just makes sure you don't fuck up], and their required royalty [most times you can get around it with a splash screen]).
Still a good tool, but know what you're buying.

No problem. The other parts of this bundle are still pretty good, even if they've been given away before.
If they're looking into ways to start making games, Unity is a free and powerful engine for creating games. I highly recommend it!

One of the big reasons I thought this was important is because I know many devs nowadays start in the mobile app world. The constrains of creating something on a mobile platform keep the project focused and small allowing the game to reach MVP (minimal viable product) status more quickly. Jumping headfirst into making a PC game is a good way to overreach and end up with a daunting project that never gets finished.

Okay, but it would still be a good idea to edit the OP and clarify that the base package allows exporting to Windows. Owning no smartphone and being interested in game development, this would be an anti-PSA for someone like me if it makes them think the base package being given away doesn't let them make a PC game.
I won't get into your claim about mobile being a better way to start than PC. But I will say I think that's very, very wrong.

You quickly come to MVP on mobile because this is painful to dev and debug :P ^^
Also I would argue you don't target same audience and you won't develop same skills or be proficient evenly if you start to dev on mobile whereas you want to focus on PC later ^^

Thanks for the explanation, though I have to wonder how many of the gifters or winners actually care about the actual usefulness of this software. It seems to be mostly a CV-fest. If I'm calculating correctly, paying 5 dollars for 5 copies of this bundle allows a user to jump all the way from Level 0 to Level 4, so I can see the attraction to those interested in leveling up. It's also demonstrates why the level-system has such limited usefulness. Not that I have better ideas, I personally just stopped using levels a few hundred GAs ago.

Well you could share your project files, but it's not ideal. Quite a few engines don't allow exporting/compiling games in the base app without purchasing additional licenses first. Some do, but only for x platforms whereas others come with enforced rules such as limited scenes/objects that you can create inside of a project without any additional licenses.
The engine I use for development has a 10 scene limit & no export options for the base app. Fortunately (for me) I've never had to pay for the engine as I help out the devs with English support, suggestions & beta testing. The engine in question is Visionaire Studio, which is geared towards creating 2D & 2.5D point & click adventure games on. Having said that, we have a new IDE coming out sometime early next year (fingers crossed) that should include some new features that will allow other game genres to be created a little more easily on it.
P.S: it's the game engine that most of Daedalic Entertainments self-developed titles have been made with.

If you're eyeing the Clickteam Fusion 2.5 GAs assaulting steamgifts right now and thinking of using it to actually try to create games, please be aware of what you're getting.
The base app comes with the ability to export games exclusively to Windows. It had many limitations that must be fixed with a $200 DLC package. The only exporting DLC that it comes with is the HTML5 exporter. (Which you may not even get if the GA creator only bought the $1 tier)
To export your game into Android you have to buy DLC for $50 and the iOS exporter is $80. (Total of $130 to be fully mobile marketable)
The most important package for Clickteam Fusion is the Developer Upgrade, running $200 on top of it all.
Take that into consideration before blowing 100p that could be better spent on one of the many holiday GA threads!
