That wouldn't be a good idea. pornographic content isn't allowed on Steamgifts. :P

LOL! Yeah, but it's not like I've not perused that topic before today, and today is the only day I've ever seen it here. And it's not a phallic object, it is of the female persuasion.

Yup, same. Not only browsing on Amazon, but various other sites too. I guess if those pay for Google ads, then Google ads use the cookies and advertise the same websites (or same type of websites) to me to remember using them. So yup, OP involuntary admitted what he's been doing online lately.

Somebody's computer is infected. Quick delete system 32.
Don't do that
Comment has been collapsed.
LOL! I know it's not infected. I've got a pretty good AV and I don't click on suspicious links/sites.;)

Oh, I did. Getting rid of system 32 would nuke my computer.;) I was just playing along.:)

If you really want to get rid of a bad virus, delete C:\

Okay. So other people may end up seeing it as well. It probably won't be around too long once the Mods (or whatever the equivalent is here) see it.

usually the sites don't chose the adcontent themself, they chose a provider of ads, therefore you probably could see unappropiate content on every site.
Thats the reason why I use adblock. Not to stick it to the site, but because you can't be sure the ad content is always clean in both the appropiate meaning and the in sense without malicious content/code.

Yup, that is exactly why I use Adblock. There have been too many cases of ads carrying malware, I'm not willing to take the risk, no matter how much the site might beg me to.

Did it have a landing strip or was it a clean shave?

The only things I've bought were cards from the Steam Market. LOL!

I wouldn't really consider that off-topic considering the content of the ad I was talking about.

Yes, the model in the aforementioned ad. I wonder if she is one of the ones that makes all that money from the Facebook spam "success stories".;)

And it's gone. Now it's just the regular ads I've been seeing before.

The main annoyance I have is ads that blink. I'm not epileptic, but if I were I wouldn't use the site. Not cool.

I hate ads or ad videos (heck, even news videos) that autoplay and you cannot interact with them. It's particularly jarring when I am wearing my headphones and it starts out of the blue. Fricking peeves me off!

There are a few options in IE.
The first, is a system wide block on the domains that provide the advertisements -- http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm
The second, which is exclusive to IE, is Tracking Protection Lists (TPL) -- https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/iegallery -- about half way down. EasyList is the standard for everyone.
Third there is Adblock Plus for IE, but I'm not a fan of Adblock Plus in general, and some of what they do, so I'd go with one or both of the first two.

My ads are usually just games. Are you getting the same thing on your steam browser account? I recently had an encounter with DNS Unlocker and it was very frustrating because of the ads but if its not on your steam account browser then idk what to do

Since ad cookies cut the ads to what we are looking for then you or someone on your PC must have browsed pr0n but since the ad isn't maybe classified as pr0n then somehow it got through Steamgifts filters?
Last time I was searching for a good deal on Diablo III + LOD bundle and how much are Samsung Galaxy S7 and then in Steamgifts I had ads similar to Ebay but native to my country offering IN SPLIT SCREEN IN ONE ADD... what? Diablo III and Samsung Galaxy S7.
Wow! What a co-in-ki-din-ky!

Shame on you for blocking off cg's only source of meager income to pay for the website. >:(
Kidding. :P

You could check your browser for PUPs? I know this could be a reason for seeing strange and out-of-place advertisements.

Just wondering why there is suddenly a porn picture as the ad on the main page. Don't really think this is the kind of site that would have that as an ad, so I'm wondering if there's been a hack done either here or at the site the ads normally originate from.
