I think there was a post that listed all of the site Userscripts.
Anyway, I don't really care (nor would even know I suppose) if anyone is using a script like this. The ones that I disapprove of are ones like Easy Steamgifts and similar that autojoin you in any GA that comes up on the site.

Blacklisted.... really? I think disagreeing will do it.

I'm so sorry we inconvenience you like that. Don't you worry, you'll never be troubled with my gibs ever again ;D

aye. In my opinion, the disconnect between the winner and gifter is bad enough as it is. Before it was really easy to thank them and express how thankful you are and stuff like that. With the new system, people just win, take the key and mark as received. You'd only get to have an interaction like in the days of old if you had to gift it to them.
I pretty much never add the gifter now, specifically because i'm really shy and awkward. So if I was already THERE in the situation, i'd thank them. Sometimes i'll add the gifter, but usually they never accept the friend request so I can thank them in-person.

That's a terrible idea. It means that you won't see important information like there being some specific country where you can't activate the game. Also consider the fact that it's another human who gives away the game, so show some courtesy and read what they have to say.

I just want auto-joiner scripts to auto-blacklist the users doing it, as well.
I mean, why should the benefit be one-sided?
So far I think I've only encountered one person who professed to use an auto-joiner, who wasn't as awful an entitled individual as you'd expect.
Honestly, it's to the point that I'd prefer giveaways having a captcha, than dealing with such entries. =.=

No, if people are generous enough to give away free games the least you can do is take the time to open the page and read what they might have written in the description.

Don't get annoyed at me but I think this idea could work but they would have to completely redo the give away list so that the creators description (or at least the start) was included so that the give away can still be used to promote things and to give you over information. You can still click on the give away to see the comments and the rest of the description.

While I would generally be in favour of this, the community is only alive because of everyone's goodwill, and sometimes those pages can have important giveaway information (hard or soft restrictions, requirements, etc). Hell even just personal promotions, which I think is a totally cool tradeoff offer given they require nothing in return.
I think the steamgifts android app has quick-apply buttons, and I suppose it wouldn't be too bad if GA creators could opt-in to enable a quick-entry button that appears on mouse-over, but the site is already convenient enough IMO. To go further might run the risk of making things a bit too impersonal?
It's also probably not the best idea to make one-sentence threads when you've barely made 15 comments, have only been registered two weeks, and haven't made any giveaways of your own. While newcomers are indeed welcome, what you're doing right now is akin to openly criticising a stranger's house on your first visit. Feel free to stay awhile, and maybe reevaluate your opinion after you've actually become a part of the community. We're low maintenance and generally friendly, even with a given sassy / sarcastic element.

My unpopular opinion - if the giveaway has no description and no comments, I have no issue with it having a join button "on the outside".
At the same time, if it does include them (and especially a description), and the user clearly used an auto-joiner script, I have no issue with him/her getting a suspension for it, or better yet - a "shadow ban", consuming all their daily points, but never ending in a win >:)

Congratulations, you just put yourself on a whole bunch of blacklists because a lot of giveaway creators would actually like people to read what they wrote in the giveaway description. After all, they went to the trouble of writing it. Beyond that, they went to the trouble of creating the bloody giveaway. Is it really so much to ask that you click one more time (or even read a little text...or even gasp respond to the bit of text)?

I'm sick of having to open the giveaway page just for click a button. Make it in the list already!
