I don't see the issue. While I like the presto engine quite a bit, WebKit is open which means more support. As long as opera keeps the features that make it the best in my eyes, I don't care much what rendering engine they use. Ultimately web devs are the ones breaking the web by using features not supported in all browsers.

There has to be a bottom line drawn somewhere. A lot of HTML5/CSS3 is broken in IE but I would never not use those things in any site I make today. JS has to be used for these browsers. But my point is that web devs to give people the best experience they can will use CSS3/HTMl5 and that it will "break the web" for some users because people are using older versions of IE or FF.

FF has become too slow and bloated over the years. I rarely use it anymore. I stick to Chrome and IE9, both are much faster. (Yes, I've just called IE faster, but it truly is)

Endless scrolling can cause extra load on the server, but using SG+ Library Filters instead of the one that's already built into the site is the biggest culprit. Especially for someone like me who already have a lot of games. Better filter them directly in the SQL query than eat up loads of bandwidth to send a lot of stuff that will be filttered out once it reaches your computer.

I just keep the Library Filters off on SG+ and use SG's filter + SG+ Custom filters. I'ts a lot more efficient to have filters applied on the server side and it cuts down on bandwidth use for both me and cg. (Plus if I'm not at home, at least the games are filtered out even if the DLC and packs still show up)

Some people actually like IE. I used to keep almost exclusively to IE mostly because I liked the interface better. But since they're trying to make it look more and more Chrome-like, without supporting whatever features the other browsers have brought on, there's no real reason for me to keep using it as my main browser.

I know :) I was making a joke at the expense of a low-hanging target. To be honest, IE9 is quite decent, even if I do prefer most of the alternatives. Ah, but that's getting more Chrome-like, which say you don't like. I must say that pop-out menu is quite annoying sometimes. Maybe give Opera a whirl - you might like that UI, and even if it's not what you like out-of-the-box you can customise it more than other browser UIs.

The fact that it's getting a Chrome-like interface actually drove me towards Chrome. I was keeping IE as my main browser mainly out of habit and because I liked the interface better. IF I'm getting pretty much the same interface, I'D rather go with the more customizable one.

Apparently a bit of both. You probably mean it wouldn't show up in games list, right? I've seen it enough in "currently playing" and that probably threw me off.

The site has seemed slower than normal the past few days. Sometimes pages load right away, other times it takes 10, 20, 30 seconds. The database is probably under heavy load again. I've got an average consistent ping time of 20ms to the site so it's definitely not a internet connectivity issue.
