Dragon Age Origins worth buying?

i guess if you like these types of rpg games, i don't really like rpg games like this so i didn't think it was worth it

I would say yes. The first Dragon Age game is a great game if you like RPGs and that type of game-world.
I've spent many hours playing this game and I enjoyed it a lot.

And EA ain't all that bad. Sure they might have made some commercial flaws in regards to their implementation of Origin, but they are a business so of course they have to try different stuff to get people to play more ^^. The people that work in their game development department however have nothing to do with the business/publishing side of it, so they shouldn't be punished for the suit's mistakes, when the games they make are good.

A better question would probably be "Am I actually going to play this?", imo.
Many a game I bought because it's well received, but never touched them. Saves me quite a bit of money this way.

The game is, like most people have said, Bioware's last good game. It's not Baldur's Gate but it's still not quite the "PRESS A FOR AWESOME!" failure that Bioware have become lately.

I think I bought it for $20 a Christmas or two ago. I spent just over 60 hours on the game, and I rarely play any given game that much. Definitely worth the price.

yes, you can get 100+ hours on that game in a single playthrough (if you do EVERYTHING) + there are tons of mods for it

I cant see Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition.. is it region blocked or something? also some time ago there was a post that Bioware was gifting a bunch of DLC so I unlocked everything back then, will this be like if I had the Ultimate Edition? or I just unlocked some cheap promotional DLC?

It is definitely worth getting, especially on sale.

Definitely, hands down one of my favourite RPGs, they botched the 2nd one but that shouldn't put you off the 1st one. Ignore the EA hate.

Yes, definitely. This game is absolutely fantastic, one of the best RPGs I've ever played. Bunch of cool mods available as well!
