i've been contacted by a scammer...

Revenge? Probably not, he/she/it will seek another victim. And it was probably bot or something.

nope you are fine and he is trying right now to scamm another person so don't worry, this type of cancer people are 24/7 trying to scamm people. the worst it's they always finish doing it. obviously this web not gonna ban him until he scamm someone and the person who was scammed report him here.

so this it's like to finish whit the "cheats" in online games, always will be there that cancer that try to scamm people.

Scammer most likely will try to find another victim. They're in it for the easiest money. Since they could not scam you they will move on cause that's easier. And even if youre the 1% where they try to take revenge, they can't do much. False user-reports is easily countered even if it might take some time.

And often they're bots, so then there's no chance for revenge.

Theres no revenge tho but there are alot of bots/scammer which will continue adding you :D

just one scammer??? when I do some public trading activity, about 5 scammers come and say hello! sometime much more. they don't give up EZly. dude don't worry. they can't do anything. if someone -rep U somewhere U can contact support and that guy will be the looser. they know it too. just wait for other scammers. one could have many accounts. install "enhanced steam" on chrome

Solution: never accept any friend requests.

I get about 5-10 on a daily basis.

Just block them on Steam and don't click on any links.

If you're not sure: block them.

I use Enhanced Steam and check them with Steamrep. If they have loads of banned friends (=banned on Steamrep, Steam trade ban or trade prohibition or banned anywhere else like on FoG or Reddit), VAC and/or Game bans, private Steam profiles or something else that doesn't feel right I block them and especially drone or hacked Steam accounts that have exactly 11 and 12 years on Steam badges as some of those are hacked Steam accounts that are used by impersonators and scammers.

Also +rep on someones Steam profile isn't worth a thing as those could have been posted by scamming friends and Steam alt accounts.

set your profile to friends only or private, end of story.

bonus: you won't be able to enter sgtrash giveaways, less time spent on the forums, you can ignore more people.
