Good feature?
I use a script called Steamgifts++ who does exactly that and also has some other nice features. Let me see if I can find the thread.

Hello gam*rs,
I have a suggestion for the Steamgifts discussions.
In short: if a comment has been added since the user last visited the discussion/giveaway page, highlight it or make it stand out.
In other words, when I open a previously unseen thread, there would be no change. When I open the discussion again the next day, any comments that have been added since my last visit would be highlighted. They'd stop being highlighted when I close the tab/window or reload the page, then repeat for any new comments after that.
I think it would make reading and participating in some of the more open-ended discussions easier.
I know ESGST has a feature that lets me mark comments as read, but it's very rudimentary, requires manual input, and rather than highlighting unread comments it fades out read comments.
