North is in the sea, keeping the temperature more stable.
See copypasta from the other wiki:
The North Pole is significantly warmer than the South Pole because it lies at sea level in the middle of an ocean (which acts as a reservoir of heat), rather than at altitude in a continental land mass.

What Kitty said is dead right.
The ocean/water around and under the North Pole keeps it warmer than the South Pole, which is a large continent surrounded and covered with ice rather than just a floating ice block.
That said though, I think more people live inside the Arctic Circle than the Antarctic Circle, simply due to the geography of the Earth.
Coldest recorded temperature is from the Russian owned Vostok Research Station on the South Pole.
As to your penguin comment, there is polar bears in the Arctic (North)...

Aww... But I love penguins. :( XD
More to the point, I may have misworded my comment. What I meant was his link to north had a higher contribution's value and it makes it colder, plus there are no penguins there. Reading my previous sentece now, I guess it still doesn't make much sense. XD

Question in the topic title. Nord or South ?
Many thanks to all who responded.
Colder in the south, despite the presence of penguins or that the south is usually associated with heat.
