Hi! I can't get through the cloudflare capcha when I try to log in on use https://steamdb.info/sales/ page. I tried both my internet and my mobile internet. Is just me or does the site have a problem?

Edit: I can use on my mobile, but only in mobile view and not in the desktop view

Edit2: it is some kinda Cloudflare problem for my pc because other sites like https://captcha.website/ have the same problem for me with all my browsers

Edit3: It start working without me doing anything.

It's just Steam doing maintenance to its server, nothing to worry about.

steamdb is not a steam site, and steam works just fine

It works now because all you have to do is wait 15 minutes, that's how much time the maintenance takes, also it's possible that some features or data on SteamDB may be affected during Steam maintenance.

I can reach the sites on my phone using the same wifi as my PC, but only in mobile view. That is weird. So it is not my internet connection. I tried running Windows in safe mode, maybe a faulty program or anti-virus, but this doesn't solve it. Try to run in mobile view on my pc, but can't replicate the same result as on my phone. Not browser's fault either, cuz Tor has the same problem too.

If it's what I think it is, you might solve it, by changing your DNS or contacting your ISP directly. I remember having a similar problem, but, it only affected sites that I never used... Like tumblr.

Even so, have you tried changing you DNS server on your PC? The DNS can vary from device to device, not only depending on your ISP, but also the configuration of the hardware itself.

Works fine for me as well.

When you say it works using your mobile view on your phone, is that through your mobile data? or through the mobile view on your home internet connection?

If it works on your phone in mobile view through your home internet, It could possibly be an outdated browser issue?
Otherwise, for some reason your ISP may be blocking it (unlikely, cloudflare is quite prominent). Or, your IP is blacklisted for some reason?
Could be that your ISP is giving the same public address to multiple customers, meaning if someone else who shares your public address has done something to become blacklisted, you may be affected as well.

EDIT: Reading through your other responses seems like these are not the issue. It has to be some sort of local issue in that case. Have you got any sort of 'pi-hole', or blacklist system on your home network? It has to be something that needs to get loaded in desktop view, but not mobile view then, surely? Maybe some sort of ad-blocker on your desktop? if mobile works?

I don't use pi-hole or similar. I tried 5 different browsers to eliminate extension and browser problems. On my phone, I use Chrome without any extension. On the phone mobile view worked, but the desktop does not. I tried using my mobile internet instead of my home internet, so I eliminate ISP, but both had the same problem. I read somewhere that Cloudflare can detect if a fingerprint lock is in use on a phone, so maybe this is why I could use it in phone view on my phone, but not on my pc.

I think I have the solution for you.
Since I have dealt with it, just try with another browser. It will probably open with many, but personally with the Brave browser, I have no problem. With Xiaomi's Mint browser, it displays the check you mention without being able to pass it.
I don't know the details of why this is happening...🙃

Edit: My bad. I thought you were talking about a mobile phone. Have you updated your browser? Have you tried in incognito mode to see if any addon are related?

Cloudflare capture is there to prevent DDOS attacks. If you can't get through the capture your IP/IP range might be flagged as a potential threat. Might be a problem with your ISP.

This is what I thought too initially, but OP commented that they were able to get through on their mobile phone through the same network as they use on the PC. Which kind of rules out that possibility

You're right, I overlooked OP's comment. The mystery persists ;)

Don't necro threads. Open a new thread. This was 3 months ago.

And now 3 months later Cloudflare has issues again:

https://www.zdnet.com/home-and-office/networking/cloudflare-is-struggling-with-another-outage-heres-what-to-know/

SteamDB uses Cloudflare, so it could be related.

No issues here, but i had already SteamDB opened, passed the captcha before and i use Firefox. Dunno why someone would use edge 😅
