Hard to tell. I listen to various metal genres and can't decide what is my favorite. But i can tell what i don't like. It's black, folk and brutal death metal.

I'm not a big metal fan but I went with power metal, if only for Dragonforce.

Power all the way... but i'm a bit sad that we are not allowed to pick more answers because, for me, the second one would be speed metal.

Same here, I listen to just about everything, but once it starts screaming, I stop listening.

I usually don't look at genre, just bring me good metal + electro mix and i'll be your fan forever. It works with Deathstars, KMFDM, Turmion Kätilöt and many others

Personally, I'm split between rare earth and noble metals. They both have their pros and cons...

I'd say rare earth, simply because having smart phones is pretty awesome.

I have no favorites, because I like almost all metal! if it's good, I like it.

I think I can appreciate almost any type of metal music but if I had to chose, I'd probably go with Black and Doom, sprinkled with short bursts of happy, cheesy symphonic power metal. ;) Death Metal has never been my cup of tea, but I absolutely love Cryptopsy's albums with Lord Worm on vocals.

Apart from glam or metalcore, I am into all the genres and sub-genres of metal, collecting albums since I was a teenanger. I think that most of the people who's taking metal seriously are having a special relation with the music/lyrics and not being "tourists" with it.

Some just can't bear the weight of doom.
