I usually comment if there is something interesting mentioned in the giveaway description - nobody really reads all those half-hearted "thanks" anyway - at least I don't. I would love to see some "quick-join" button showing up if you click some other button beforehand which opens some comment snipped to the giveaway - that way you don't leave the overview.

**** no. Some people actually have stuff in the description, such as a greenlight game, or even mentions of a game being limited content because of regional purchases (can be activated everywhere, but will have censored content, so not against region lock rules).

Quick enter is bad.

I would enjoy a quick join for purely selfish reasons with no long-term thinking involved, but it would be a pretty bad idea. Some of the best giveaways are by people who want to promote their new greenlight game, youtube/twitch channel, etc and by giving us a quick-enter button, we basically prevent people from seeing that description. A lot of people would have no reason to make giveaways anymore.

I agree that a more convenient system than opening GA pages separately from the GA listings would be beneficial. Quick join from the listings however is a shit idea. SG+ on the old site already hit what I thought was the best solution. Listings > quick view > "comment and enter".

I personally don't need this but just throwing the idea out there: a quick-view of the giveaway which shows the description along with a join button that joins without swapping the page. This will still allow people to read the description before joining.

Additionally it can say how many comments it has and make an offering to show them (by changing to the GA page), but we all know what comments mostly consist of :P

It would be a faster way of viewing the description and joining without having to load the entire page all over again and loading the comments on top of that too.

No (other reason):

SG+ had a 'Quick View' where you could see the description, and you could comment & enter with one click.

It was fast & cut down on tabs without without forcing you to be ungrateful.

I'm looking forward (hoping) to having the feature back.

How about an option for the giveaway creator? I personally don't read all the "thks" comments in my giveaway threads. Maybe a box that I can check to allow for one-click entries, but that another creator (who might have relevant/pertinent details on the GA page) can choose not to employ.

I want a mobile-friendly version of the website so that I can enter giveaways at work (don't judge)

There should actually a quick random easy question after clicking the enter giveaway to prevent ez macro bots and/or ppl that don't read the description
