I knew you would say that.. Its for co-op and such, and I also have a party coming up, and well.. you can't use the computer for a party.. That would be messy..

Only thing I hate about PC gaming, it's antisocial. Ex: Borderlands 2 no splitscreen. Another example, no friends use steam/pc gaming.

Not all games. And most games don't have it natively.

My 1 human friend is primarily a 360 user.

If you plan on getting a PS4 within the next year, just go for the year of PS+. It's required for online multiplayer in non-free-to-play games this time around.

I'd say go for 3 months of PS+ and games since the games you get from PS+ aren't permanent.

actually you can play the games as long as you have ps+. no ps+, no access to the game collection, but if you renew ps+ you can play all games again.

I have ps+ since april 2013 for my psvita and ps3 and allready too many games to play, and i only bought 3 games for my psvita, everything else comes with ps+

since the games are not forever 0,00€ in ps+, usually only a month, you just have to "buy" them and can then download them whenever you want. thats how i'm doing it.

i purchased 12months of ps+ (eu) and got 15 months for 42€ (bought 50€ psn card on ebay for 42€). either the 3month extra where a special offer, or a first time member bonus, dunno

I say get the 1st month of free trial and then pay for PS+ (if not done already).
Btw there's no permanent free game from PS+ unless I'm missing something from an unknown (to me) offer.
Once your PS+ expires then you can't play those "free" games any more, unless you renew your subscription.

If I read their terms of use correctly, they only allow you to play the games while you still have the PS+ subscription. At least it's well worth getting, unlike the Gold membership for Xbox Live.

Currently with gold you get permanent and free games such as Fable 3, Assasin's Creed 2, Crackdown etc.
For now and until XBOX One's release, gold membership is good.

Not really. Paying for something you never use to get free games is of no point. Also, you need a Xbox 360 to play them so you'll be paying for that also.

I thought that it was obvious to have an XBOX 360 first, in order to pay for gold later... lol
The same applies for PS+ and PS3.

It is, but I was considering the OP may only have a PS3, and not a Xbox 360. So that's why I said that.

In this case, your reference to gold is irrelevant. Obviously gold is not good for him, since he owns a PS3, but that doesn't make it a bad deal for 360 owners. That's my objection to your original statement.

I'm a 360 owner and I see no need to have a Gold membership as I do not use my 360 every day.

Still that makes it a bad deal for you, but not for everybody. :)

[Off topic]
For the record, PS+ is more appealing to me as well, but at least Microsoft has shaped up the gold recently by giving free and permament games each month as I said previously. A bit late if you ask me...

It also applies to the majority whom have bad Internet connection. So it's not only me that's affected.
