Hi Guys,

I thought I would make a small train containing a few of my favourite adventure games. I hope the winners get as much enjoyment from these games as I did. Each giveaway has a level 3 requirement.

For those old enough, which developer did you prefer - Lucasarts or Sierra?

All aboard

I am of the correct age but didn't play these games-but looking back LucasArts games really seem to have been better on average and less onanistic, better humor in my opinion as well

as far as I can remember, I played sierra games more than lucasarts. I really didn't (and still don't) care all that much though. Games are games. :)

You have good taste. And I liked both! Started out with Sierra games, but loved LucasArts ones too...

LucasArts. Sierra was to frustrating for me with all these suicides.

I didn't play either Lucasarts or Sierra games as a kid, but I have fond memories of the Pajama Sam series.

Those games were awesome too! I hope to buy them for my daughters when they are old enough to understand them :)

Lucas Arts. One of the factors was too lousy english to type commands in Sierra games

Heaven preserve me! You look like something that's died!
Must have, after deciding what to give away and managing to steal from LeChuck, no wonder he wants revenge on you on the second giveaway!

Kinda gives away the obvious of what I preferred. :P Though did like them both, especially the Gabriel Knight series, even if it did take me an unlordly amount of attempts to beat the second game >.<
Sins of the Fathers got a HD update a while ago as I recall, I'm not convinced about them being purchased by Activision though, the HD remasters are nice, but based on an existing game. Not tried King's Quest yet, but it is v.positive on steam.

I haven't played the HD remake of GK either - I really should pick it up in the XMAS Steam sale!

I hear you on Activision, sell the rights back to Jane Jensen at Pinkerton Road I say. Disney should also drop Monkey Island back to Ron Gilbert, but it will never happen :(

The new Kings Quest is fantastic, episode 2 seems to be taking a very long time to come out though.
