PSA: While enjoying these great deals, let's put our consumerism habits to good use! Please don't forget to take into account the Charity that you are donating 10% of your purchase to. There are hundreds of good charities to support, and although I don't know the dynamics/reputation of all of them, I've heard good things about Charity Water, Doctors Without Borders, and with the ongoing refugee crisis, another choice would be CARE International UK and Save the Children UK. To view all the charities and select one of your own, visit the page here.

Nah, not interested.
YAHHH, love Double Fine!

Sadly Broken Age was good but disappointingly short.

Grim Fandango is a great classic game and definitely worth playing for anyone who hasn't yet.

Hm... At first glance I only want Grim Fandango... But I guess it won't hurt to do some planing about maybe making a bundle out of it...

Grim Fandango + Brutal Legend + Psychonauts + Massive Chalice + Broken Age = 12 Euro - I'm okay with that

Yep definitely they are the best games. I watched a Massive Chalice LP a pair of days ago and it seems pretty interesting tho a bit short. Broken Age is a bit meh after so much hyper around it (I watched the first part in another LP). Psychonauts and Brûtal Legend have been in bundles and you can get it pretty cheap. Grim Fandango is only 3.8€ using the coupon from the E3 bundle. But still it is only 12 for 5 nice games

I've checked the same games and it was 8 euro. You will have bigger discount for 3 games, then ecen bigger for 4 games and for 5 games it's 90% as far as I remeber correctly.
EDIT: Ah yes, it is even in description :P

I wouldn't be so excited about Spacebase DF9. It once was on my wishlist but game was left unfinished. It's broken to the point that some random dudes try to finish it http://steamcommunity.com/app/246090/discussions/0/520518053432739086/

I've actually played it, I never got the impression that it was "broken" when they pushed the "final" build. I understand the controversy and I think it's sleazy that they dropped ALL of the planned features, but the few hours I played didn't seem broken at any rate

That's because it's put out by a different publisher, even though Double Fine is the developer.

I wonder if this presages a Double Fine Humble Bundle in the near future?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

They've already had multiple Double Fine bundles, including a regular, a weekly, and an indie. I woudn't hold my breath for another anytime soon.

Exactly, which means they have a good working relationship with DF, and DF isn't afraid to bundle their games. This sale also suggests that DF has exhausted the retail life of both Broken Age and Grim Fandango, making it the perfect time (once they've also exhausted the sale buyers) for a Humble Bundle to mop up the leftover holdouts.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It also suggests that a majority of Humbles audience already have the games. Doing it this way lets people pick up what they need without buying stuff again like they would be doing in another bundle. Devolver was a similar situation. Telltale less so.

There are a couple that are vaguely appealing but I own the other interesting games so I'll pass. If only there were bundle that included an evil looking cellist instead.

Edit: Here's a key for Vanguard Princess that may or may not still be valid.

Stacking is awesome and fun.
Brütal Legend is decent… but if you like classic metal and/or Jack Black, then it's \m/
Broken Age has insane ratings (bought it for myself as a key for future use now).
Grim Fandango is one of the best point 'n' clicks of all time.
And these are only the ones I recognised from the list. ^^

X + X + Hack n Slash + Massive Chalice + Broken Age = 12ish Euro.
Sadly, that is way too much for these titles. If it was like
4€, I'd have considered it.
Don't like my opinion? Whatever. One can only throw so much money away as one has {Kappa}

TellTale Games had much more value for the same price (where I actually bought all of em).

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Value for price is relative. I finished off my TellTale collection and know I'll get my money's worth out of them but once I've played them I likely won't go back to them. I can't say these are better choices but that's because the games I'm missing aren't really of interest.

The more titles you add the cheaper it isn't like it was with Telltale games. (it's actually more expensive) :(
Only interested in Broken Age, Grim Fandango and Costume Quest, that is 9.29 €, not that cheap really. :( Might have to pass on this one as well.... :(

I only need Broken Age right now. Got the other 2. I might also be interested in Massive Chalice or Brutal Legend but I'm not sure. Which 2 do you want? We could find the rest of buyers on Group Buy

We can talk more tommorow anyhow since it's late now. Or chat me up.

Not a rumor. It's true. It seems to only apply to purchases from the Humble store, not anywhere else.

I really want Massive Chalice and Iron Brigade looks fun. Plus if those guys are working on Spacebase (Not the actual devs the fans of the game) then I'll get that as it's been in my sights for a while, but the abandonware tag scared me away.

Will probably have to substitute Iron Brigade for Stacking as I don't have enough for Iron Brigade in the bundle and I hear Stacking is good anyways so no big deal.
