Problem with Steam notification

Hello everyone, as the title says I have a bit of a problem with the notifications on Steam. A few days ago one of my friends on my friends list wanted to trade a few cards so I sent him the offer 5 cards of Saints Row 3, but at the same time he also sent me a trade, the same 5 cards plus 2 cards of Deponia. He accepted my trade, but now I have a notification of pending trade, the offer he sent me, which says "items now unavailable for trade" and neither me nor he can cancel/decline or anything this offer. Anyone knows what can I do? Because that notification is bugging me a lot.

Have someone else send you a trade offer and it should reset

Get sent another trade offer, then once that is dealt with, it is fixed.
