Do you like it?
Way too bloaty for me. It's like they have just tried to fill the whole page up with as much junk as possible. If they ditched the community content part, then it would look a lot better.
EDIT: I have gone into Library settings and changed it to low bandwith mode and this removes the creators content. It looks a lot better now.

Its a way better, but they did just about 10% of things they had to

In other words, always will complain.
It is called Beta for a reason :V.

Huh. I have installed it now and it appears like Free to Play games now stay in your library? Because I have like 200+ games in a category called "Uncategorized", including Quake Live and Quake II RTX.

Welp I'm just as jealous of people actually owning Wolfenstein.. :P

Same here. I have Enemy Territory: Quake Wars Limited Edition in physical copy as well as Wolfenstein 2009 PC and PlayStation 3 physical copies, but they're the two missing from my Steam Library and I really want them here. Not enough to pay the crazy prices from traders, but almost. :p

Can you just have the normal #-Z and recent categories? Or does it force you to have all the crap as well?
Comment has been collapsed.
Great, I've got far too many games to bother starting to sort into categories now. I bet it messes up themes though!
Comment has been collapsed.
WOW, you can sort on what game have cards and not, interesting.

Only get a black screen as my client, brillant steam.
Oh wait it's breaking skins. and missing the installed/recent games, which always made recognize what games i was playing on.
As text, because scrolling through endless boxes is not fun and i dont want to see 8000+ boxes either, i am going back to the old style and hope it stays up as long as possible.

Thanks, but guess it's also the no skin anymore that makes it even more different then i was used to, probably takes time till they get updated, and maybe i will just try again some other time.
Just hope we got a choice for a long time and they just dont shove it down our throat like so many other websites.

Probably the best way to not see is to close your eyes =P

Emm... I changed language in my steam client, made a screenshot to show exactly the same you posted 20 minutes ago xD

Still not up for me after restarting. Oh well, I can wait.

After a restart it didn't update so I had to click "Check for Steam Client updates", now it's working.

I just went back to the old UI to unhide all my hidden games (since it doesn't seem possible to even view them in the new UI), and found that almost all the category changes I did in the new UI didn't carry over. How strange.
Comment has been collapsed.
how did you even do category changes in the new UI? none of my categories are there and i tried adding a collection (including with a different name in case it was trying to create something that was already there), but no matter what i try i get FAILURE could not save collection "some collection"
Comment has been collapsed.
I haven't had any errors like that. You could try running Steam as Administrator and see if that changes anything.

thanks for the suggestion. i thought of that too but nope still fails all the time. are collections in the new UI the same as categories in the old UI?

Its better than it was before. But still not good enough to surfing through big libraries. I'd like to stick together games from the series and to change game names in the main list to put them in desired order. And most of all I want to highlight completed games to see that without clicking on every single title
Comment has been collapsed.
The only way I found to manage complete games is to divide my categories in two, i.e. I have a "point & click" category and a "point & click - finished" category. (But actually I might try something different now that they have dynamic categories)
Comment has been collapsed.
There's nothing to help with that yet. Dynamic categories work with tags only (and i don't understand why they don't show these tags in libary then). My own PnC folder consist of 120 titles while dynamic one is bigger than 200 (including idle clickers, HOG, some old RPG's). Also there is Hector 1 and 3 in new cat but not 2nd xD

I'm not sure I like it yet, but most of the time I need time to get used to new software.
I can't find it, but what I miss the most is that I can't see which games are from my friends' library and which are mine in the game list. As far as I could find I only find it when clicking on a game.
And I kinda wish there would be a filter for non-achievement games so I could hide those all at once :P
Comment has been collapsed.
For the non-achievements just make a collection adding all your games, later create a new collection for achievements games, and in this select all the games and eliminate them from the all game collection and voilà, you have all the non-achievements games filtered

Alien Swarm doesnt stay in my library event when I install-uninstall it
Videos now a bunched up mess instead having their own little folders so I can watch them and hide what I already watched.
Other than these, and that its a bit heavy on my pc ( I put everything in low maintanace in settings) its okay I guess. I'm quite happy that freetoplay games finally stay on my steam library and I can sort them there, right now its a mess but I'll sort it :)

Clicked around in the black area a bunch and finally it loaded, I must have hit the right spot. Weird.
First impression is: holy shit everything is huge. Half of screen is taken by background and the title title which is like 1 inch+ in height. I don't know if it is detecting DPI wrong or if everything is just gigantic. Need to scroll down to see any details at all other than the name of the game.

two questions:
Comment has been collapsed.
I think it's a step in the right direction. I was getting tired of using third party websites to filter my library by tags and features. I already had a mountain of categories set up, but they were all based on my own research and some games were grossly mis-categorised. So it's awesome that I can search on genres and tags to narrow down what I feel like playing.
As with all things it will probably take a little getting used to where every thing is, but overall I am on board for this.
