its not about copying, they got extra keys for The Ship because of the indie royale, and Amnesia is because of the potatoe bundle since most of them got amesia trough HiB and then they buy potatoe bundle, which contains amnesia and if you already have it you get a copy to give away.

because people sign up to the giveaways and not claim the gifts... so they have to put the gifts up again

The Ship is one of those self-replicating games, every copy bought on steam comes with like 4 extra gift copies. That one you got to live with.

Looking at the wish list database, there's 5459 people on this site who want Amnesia. I'd say choosing that game for a giveaway is a good idea.

I barely caught myself composing another passive-agressive, angry response, so I thought I'd try something different. Your thread is stupid. I'm sorry, but it is. If you haven't yet realised it, don't worry, you will. There'll be plenty of other posters telling you why. There's also plenty of other threads explaining why thoughts like this are dumb.

Acctually, Having been one of the few to have been playing the ship before the takeover ( Before a shit heap of extra copies got given out) This is aiding the game.
Back then there was only about..17 servers? And at any point in time a maximum of 20 people online. A brilliant game, But no community. By increasing the community of the ship We're not only sharing with people but also improving the quality of the gameplay in the game.
Oh, Ps. This is all free, Be greatful for whatever you may get.

People give away games that they have spare and Some go out and buy them specifically for this
But games that come in bundles or that are on special offers will show up alot.
Why?
Okay, So lets assume I have Half of the valve complete pack and valve put the pack on offer to the point where it would be cheaper to buy the pack than the rest of the games I would need, So I'd buy that pack and I would then have a spare copy of the games i already had, So i'd bring them here to give away.
Now, I might not be the only one in that situation to have bought the special offer and give away what i didn't need. That's why you see multiples of the same ones.

Just as right now we have the potato pack (Or something like that) Come out with a cheap offer and several indie games. Some people are buying the pack and giving them away here and some people are giving away their spares from buying the pack. Which is why you're seeing Cogs and amnesia alot right now.

So many 'The ship' cos it was in a bundle and it has this thing where 1 person buys it, gets 3 copies, supposed to give 2 away then when those are claimed, the people who claim them get another copy to giveaway - so 5 copies total per purchase of the Indie Royal (?) Bundle...

Theres so many Amnesia cos people got it in HiB 5 or earlier and now bought Valve's Potato Pack and that gives them giftable copies of the ones they own. So that explains all the Amnesia, people have it, buy another gift it. (plus its a good game)
