Till now I've won 3 times the firt was a DLC, I received my key within hours ( Thank you so much "Grandson") Then I won an actual game, you can't imagine how happy I was, I waited and waited to receive it but sadly the guy didn't deliver. I was like oh well, another time maybe! A month later and I win "Half-life 2 ep 1" one of my all time fav game series so I was really excited to get it, I checked my e-mail every few mins ( although I don't have Half-life 2 and would really love to get it someday ) 3 days later and nothing... Anyway I'm not complaining or anything I just wanted to get this off my chest since I think it's better not to win anything, than win and not receive your game... Cheers guys and thank you for this awesome site !

The gifter has up to 7 days to give it, be patient. Though if he's been online and that chances are you might not get the game.

It must suck to win a fake giveaway. :(

And as a tip, creating paragraphs makes reading easier. :)

Yes it's on the 3rd day, I still have hope that I'll receive half-life2 ep 1!
And sorry about my writing and thank you for your advice, I'll make sure to use paragraphs next time !

I'm not sure how Lead and Gold translates to Half Life, but it does look like you got shafted anyway. Sadly these sorts of things happen, but there's always better luck for the future. And terrible rep for the other person.

Lead and Gold was the 2nd game I won, Half-life ep 1 is the one that's still open, I just won it 3 days ago so I can't chose the "no I haven't received my game" option.

It seems I misread the order of the titles, my apologies.

I hope you'll still get your game. In any case, don't let it get to you, and best of luck in the future.

When you checked your email for the 1st game you won, you made sure to check your spam box right. I gave a steam key to a winner once and it went to his junk mail. It took me 3 days to get him to add me to steam and check his junk folder for it.

Good point. I took it for granted, but many people had to fish their wins out of the Spam folders, and they hadn't bothered to look until someone brought it up. Bump for effect.

Try adding the creator on steam.

I've noticed some gifters like to make sure they actually see you online so they can add you/message you to make sure you know where the game came from, mark feedback, etc., and I've waited a couple days on things before, so it's possible the gifter in this case had something come up and hasn't been around.

Does suck to win a fake though. I won something on Gameminer and got sent a clearly fake key (all just 234's over and over). To top it off, that game's keys are not even Steam redeemable, nor in that format for where they are redeemable (which is with the game CD). Quite obnoxious that people care more about their status as contributors and try to scam for it than actually care about giving imo. :/
