Gamefly, buying and subscribing question

Hi, there's several Q&A's I seen through google but they are rather old and wanted to know for sure if any of you can answer this for me as well as clarification.
Do you have to have a monthly subscription to buy a PC game?

Thank you. It seems they did try to attempt to charge a subscription through paypal but I cancelled it and got the games I wanted.

you dont even need a subscription to buy console games,but they then charge shipping.
