Prey 2006 is an all-time favorite. I just checked, and it's actually the first game I played on Xbox 360. Still haven't played my Steam copy yet.
The opening 30 minutes or so are still burned into my brain, more than a decade later. Epic, and just a rad game all around!

I wonder why the hell some games like this one are pulled from stores.

Prey is sort of an interesting case. It's likely that some of it's due to music issues, but over the years there's been lots of reports/speculation that Steam codes for the game were tied to physical CD-ROM keys provided by publisher 2K, and that's what ran out. If that's the case, for whatever reason 2K doesn't seem to care about generating more, and potential music license issues could be a factor.
Either way, it's a genuine shame that it can't be more easily obtained. It really is a special game.

I've never been one to use the phrase YOLO but it always makes me think of this lonely island song, esp. considering that it perfectly captures why I think the way people use YOLO does not make sense.

This game is really good, got it close to release, its a memorable experience, loved it as a teenager.
While the new Prey have pracically nothing to do with the old one, I've enjoyed that a lot too. As much as the lack of continuity seemed unfortunate for the enjoyers of the 2006 title, Prey 2017 turned out to be a very pleasant surprise itself. Both are great games on their own rights.

The first time I heard this expression and I'm still not sure if it is "Cholo" the slur word for people of Mexican/Latin American origin or YOLO which would make more sense in this context. As I'm not knowledgeable in South Los Angeles gang culture maybe an Angeleno can enlighten me.
But I digress. I'm a risk taker and as such I'm giving away 5 keys for Prey(2006). To become a member of the illustrious Prey owners club you have to answer five simple questions.
The protagonist belongs to which tribe?
Cherokee = F
Comanche = x
Cree = K
The game uses which engine?
Unreal = s
idtech 4 = l
Doom = T
The name of Domasi's girlfriend is:
Jen = 5
Jess = B
Triss = w
In the game you visit which land?
Land of The Elders = g
Land of The Ancients = a
Land of The Ancestors = H
The game was developed by
3D Realms = I
id software = W
Human Head Studios = 1
As I point out in the giveaway description there's a risk of the keys not working although I tested the waters successfully with my Deep Dive Contest where you can find a few pointers how to get the best experience with the game.
Finally if you're still not sold on the game here's a review of one of my favorite content creators from Down Under. He's a very sophisticated fine spirit who weighs his words with utmost care: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5Q0htlsIeQ
