I think I am ill...I am just buying games on a sale and I know, that I have so many unfinished games, that I also want to play.
It is because, they are so cheap and I can't ressist to it.
Now there will be Black friday and also Christmass sale on Steam, and I know for sure, that I will buy some more games :-/

Do you have the same problem as me?

I used to have that problem. Now I only buy games that I intend to install immediatly. This doesn't always work, as I still buy some games that I don't play for a while, but I have been spending less on games lately.

I don't have so many physical games (working on that slowly) but yes, I have a ton of Steam games, only finished about 1/10th of them and I'm still buying more.

I've started deleting some really terrible games from my account though, so hopefully that clears it out a bit.

I found out Group Buys and now buy almost every single Indiegala bundle that's coming out. Then idled cards to buy witcher 3 GOTY. Still haven't gotten around to play it...

Yeah, at this point I'd call hoarding to what I'm doing.
I intent to play them all at some point but I don't wanna play something because I must, so I just take it at whatever speed I feel like doing it. The problem is that I buy anywhere from 10 to 30 games per month but only play 2 of 3 so my backlog quickly became a huge mess of stuff with games that sometimes I don't even remember having bought already, more than once I found a game in my library that I really wanted to play but for some reason I was convinced I didn't own.

My steam library seems huge to me, but it's tiny in comparison to those of many people. I found myself buying a lot of games during my first Steam sales and picking up bundles left, right and centre, but lately I barely buy anything. In fact, I got a €20 Steam voucher for my birthday in January and I still have €3.50 left in my wallet.

My rule is that, unless I'm going to play it right away (or it's on crazy discount in a bundle), I wait. I'm making a concerted effort to clear some of my backlog but it's a task that will never end.

Even at 75% off, you should avoid grabbing a game just because it is on sale--unless you REALLY want it. Bundles do not come back--so I generally pick up bundles at $3 or under if there is at least 2 games that I want. SG giveaway the rest.

Wait longer and the 75% off sale comes again, if you decide you really want it later.
