I saw this link to this site called

steambitcoins.com

And after checking it out, it seems like giveaways.

Is this a shady site or a legit site?

based on the giveaways running, i suppose they trade bitcoins for copies of endorlight, particula, supraball and heaven island.

I wouldn't go anywhere near it if I were you - seeing as there's no secure connection to it, it's likely your loggage in thru OpenID n Steam Web API could be intercepted at some point. just my thoughts on the topic. . .

A little searching shows that this same person ran a "bitcoin faucet", mostbitco.in, now expired. He also had a failed game on Greenlight with a kickstarter looking for $100 in funding, and participated in shady item giveaways on a now defunct Steam group. Address used for domain registration is also pinging a defunct site "secretsteamshop", but registration information has been overwritten by a domain parking company.

This all just screams scam. It seems like an ad-revenue clicktrap, with a side business of likely loading the giveaways with bot accounts to siphon off gifts/items for more revenue.

What exactly is wrong about getting ad revenue through clicks? Just wondering, I have no idea.

I guess it depends on whether or not people have any realistic chance of getting anything in return for generating ad revenue for somebody else or whether they are just wasting their time in return for nothing.

This.
The site admin already ran a bitcoin faucet that brought in users with decent payouts, then suddenly dropped the payout rate to insultingly low levels once he had attracted a userbase. When the backlash hit, he claimed a "mistake", then shuttered the site; this can be found in a bitcoin faucet forum that will be in the top results if you google "mostbitco.in". When someone already has a traceable shady history, it's not a far stretch to assume they are going to keep trying with similar tactics in new venues.
