Otome Suggestion

Danganronpa is classified as a visual novel, yes, but not really an otome game.

The best suggestion is for you to check out vndb.org and look for otome, as well as non-otome visual novels there. I guarantee as soon as you'll find your way around the site, you'll find dozens of eye-catching VNs :)

I know different Otome Steamgroups (one are the one that Adam linked). Because the fem Owners of that groups are all steam friends of mine but partly not "best friends" of the other groups i don't want post the links to there groups here. No one should feel if i support "the wrong" ;o)

Search at best at the Steam groups and here at sg in the recruting Section of the Forum with "Otome". That should show you the most of them.

Sweet fantasy is a yuri but I think we all get you're going for the idea of a female main character. Plus just finished that myself yesterday

Straight up they don't have the best art from the start but have started to improve in their lastest ones. They also might not have the best story but all their games have their own little charm which for me keeps me going back and buying them all. Plus they go for cheap and can be quite quick if you don't have alot of time

Cinderella Phenomenon (this one is free and pretty good)
The Confines of the Crown

Anyway you can't go wrong with Amnesia, it's one of the best otome I've played. I also highly recommend Cinders.

Indie Western Otome:

• SoulSet (x1000, it has an awesome heroine and a great fantasy/mystery plot)
• Backstage Pass (super polished stat-raising sim by the same people as RE: Alistair++)
• Cute Demon Crashers (free, adorable game with extremely consensual sex)
• Changeling (haven't played this one personally, but I've heard nothing but good things about the writing)

I usually play commercial otome games on my Vita, rather than my PC, so I haven't tried many of the ones available on Steam. That said, here are a few from my wishlist that I've heard are good:

• Dandelion - Wishes brought to you -
• Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly
• Nightshade

While it's not an otome PER SE, romance and love is very much at the heart of the WORLD'S BEST VISUAL NOVEL, the House in Fata Morgana. That one is always and forevermore my go-to rec.
