What type of games do you like? Personally I would recommend old fashion point-and-click games like Broken Sword, The Whispered World, etc. But The Binding of Isaac is also good. I also enjoyed Orcs Must Die 1 & 2 a lot (especially the first).

I can recommend Beyond Good & Evil, Assassin's Creed series, Mirror's Edge, Prototype series, Portal series, The Darkness II, Skyrim, Rayman series...

It is bloody, it also has that comic book look and the story is awesome but it's a little short, especialy the co-op.
