Enabling Modules

SG++ is modular, therefore, only two features are enabled by default: Fixed Navbar and Scrolling Sidebar.

You can enable more modules by going to the account dropdown and clicking "SG++ Settings" ( check screenshot attached).

After saving the page will be reloaded.

Known Issues

  • Scrolling sidebar might break on some pages.

  • Fixed footer bug on FAQ page.

Best new of the day. Let's give it a try. :)
Edit : Well. At first, it seems like it does not want to work for me. I will try to find why and let you know.

Edit 2 : After a restart, the script was not present in my list of script. I guess that the first installation messed up somehow. It's not good after a second installation. Time to test it. :)

This is great. Only stuff I miss is

  • Hide Entered giweaways
  • Point counter updating in real time
  • Quick View
  • Replace Featured giveaway with forum
  • One-click filter button that uses SG's own filtering system so no custom saving necessary

Will you make a native Chrome extension so we don't need to use an extension in order to use an extension?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Maybe, this setup works across 3 browsers, the Chrome native extension would only work on one... we'll later the usefulness of such thing.

It does enter a giveaway and comment the message at the same time, although we have an issue on firefox, it should work on Chrome.

When can I enter a giveaway without open it?

Also, can someone explain the modules? I cannot understand a half of it...

Sorry about that, we'll have better names in future.

Most of them are related to EndlessScroll, the last word relates to which "page" that is applied to, i.e.:

EndlessScrollDiscussions applies to the discussions page.
EndlessScrollReplies applies to any discussion.

and so forth.

EntryCommenters was explained before on this thread.

We'll have a better settings page on release.

No problem, those are the internal modules names, since we plan on revamping the settings, it will get better and have more settings per module.

Thanks a lot for your work, leomoty! Very useful addon.

BTW, maybe also possible to add autocomment feature (automatically post custom text like "Thnx" in comments when entering giveaway) ?

I hope you're not serious

no

Umm, if you can't think of a single thing to say in someone's giveaway, why are you even trying to win it? Here's a custom text you could try:

Hi, I don't care what game you're giving away. I just want free stuff. Typing requires too much effort. Please pretend this robo-thanks is sincere.

Filtering giveaways by level requirement is planned, right?

Can be done, yeah, just waiting till we do some groundwork to make it easier to integrate with Endless Scroll

Just installed it, but it doesn't seem to work. No grid view. Yes, Greasemonkey is installed and active.

Apart from that: awesome what you guys are doing here!

Gridview isn't enabled by default, refer to the attached image on this very topic to find how to enable it.

Thanks. Silly me. Works now of course. Thank god! And you ♥

Now if I get new comments highlighted I'm the happiest person in the world :)

You need to enable Mark Comments for that one.

That should probably be called Mark New Comments for clarity

THIS.

Comment has been collapsed.

It breaks a lot of features on Trades. Can't edit thread, can't reply to comments.

Comment and Enter also doesn't seem to work for me in Chrome. It just enters and reloads the page.

It would be nice if the whitelisted/blacklisted user indicator could be integrated into SG++.

Thanks for all the work with this script!

Force the script to auto update 0.2.4 beta might have fixed some of that...

Changelog 0.2.3 and 0.2.4

  • Fixed mixed errors;
  • Added User Hover Info, if enabled, after an user link is hovered for 1.5s a popup should appear with the info.

Known Issues:

  • User Hover Info report button doesn't work.

Dat hover. Maybe needs a little shape up, mostly on the icons, but I know its still early to make calls like that. Keep it up guys. GGWP.
EDIT: Suggestion, maybe make it pop on the left side so it wont block the comment section!?

Patetico did a great job on this one :)

The icons were working fine, but I made a dumb decision that messed them up =/ Won't take long to fix it, but I had to hurry for this release.
The hover kinda tries to appear in the middle of the screen so you don't have to scroll to the side, but I'll see if I can find a better position.

1.5s might be a little too long of a delay. 1s would probably be better. Even better if the delay can be set by the user. ü

I found a bug. Seems like it breaks the pagination links for threads. Only the arrows work. I tried inspecting them in firefox, but it seems like it only shows the original source.

Edit: Weird. I tried some things to pin down the bug. Seems like it only happens if the page is a bit too narrow. As I have tabs shown on a sidebar, my page area is a bit narrower than the assumed default -- even base sgv2 has a couple of text overflow bugs in the case of long game names. However, if I increase the page area sufficiently, the links work again, without even refreshing.

I'm experiencing the same issue.

Comment has been collapsed.

Why do most recent comments on topics appear on top by default? I don't see an option to arrange them in chronological order (as they should be).

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Because settings are not done, thus we don't have any option besides enabled or disabled

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

For now, you'd have to disable "EndlessScrollDiscussionReplies" is you want the normal comments order.

Just a couple of suggestions, but would it be possible to not add the new tag on threads you enter for the first time, since at that point every comment is new there's no need for the tag and a way to stop tracking certain threads (I actually like how it displays the new comments in the discussions page, but when it ends up being for every thread it looks a bit cluttered). Don't know how hard it might be to implement this and still appreciate the work already done, so thanks!
