I have around 80 games wishlisted on Steam. There's no point in me wishlisting 100s. I'd never realistically buy or play them all.

I have games on Steam and giveaways on SG filtered to Mac OSX. As well as filtering for my operating system, it also filters out a good amount of the trash, so that explains the low numbers.

Joined Steam November 2009 (but first five years I bought one game every year).
Started fill ignored lists about 8-9 months ago, early it was empty.

My Steam wishlist is comprised of about 300 titles, and I've been working for the past year or so, first to make it shorter, and later to keep it from growing.

It reached a peak of around 460 a few years ago, and in a few months, I had it under 300, possibly in the 250-270 range. On occasion, I go looking for things to remove.

I don't know how many I have ignored and can't be bothered to check, have been using the ignore function more regularly lately, because I noticed that I would sometimes look at a game and think "could be interesting" and then it turned out I had already done so, ruled against it, and then forgot.

Marking it ignored helps me keep track of that and hopefully save time.

Currently there are 20 games on my wishlist. Some of them are games that I want to buy at some point. Others are free and I've put them on the list as a reminder that I'd like to try them at some point. I ignore less than 5 games. Rare cases that I don't wish to see advertised anymore.

other than that based on my preference settings games with the following tags are ignored: RPGmaker, VR, Early Access, Memes, MMORPG, Minimalist, JRPG. I wish i could add filter for steam is learning about games too so could filter out those games with one tag, that would clean out all upcoming crap from my steam store experience.
