Even after I done the tutorials twice I can't get to know what to do in this game to succeed, anyone can help me out?

Have you tried youtube?

The point of the game is basically increasing your dynasty score, there are many ways to go about it. It also depends on what position you start at.

Hm, did you try looking at some Let's Play videos? I heard some of those are quite helpful in this matter.

I watched through Arumba's tutorial series for the game. While it's a bit out of date compared to the recent DLC/patches, it's still a really informative series and well worth the watch if you want to get into the game.

Tutorials from paradox are not good and they leave lots of things out. Some guides/let's plays can be very educational but they can take a long time and will possibly overwhelm you if you don't understand the mechanics.

Here's a copy of an earlier post I made on this topic that I hope it helps;
"Ireland is easy for beginners but I prefer to play in Spain (Duke of Porto or Count of Santiago, depending on the bookmark) and reconquer the peninsula before taking over the world. Love this game.

Some hints for things that are not very intuitive:

  • when marrying your heir, choose good traits (genius, etc) instead of titles or claims... it will help you in the long run
  • Always try to matrilinearly marry your female descendants
  • Use appoint as successor of Bishop if you wish remove a descendant from succession titles
  • Try to educate your main descendants yourself (if your educational traits are not good send them to a tutor with great educational traits only after he turns 15)
  • Give titles to people in your dynastic line, they like you more (but don't make them too powerful, in particular if they are claimants to your titles)
  • Give Duke titles (you can only have 2 without penalties) to some kinsman with low power (single county, for instance). It doesn't matter if they don't have any territory in that duchy (their problem, not yours).
  • Revoke titles whenever you don't incur in penalties.
  • Invite people with claims on territories you are interested, marry them to your line/give them a title and then press their claim to vassalize those territories."

CKII can be difficult to get into but If you persevere it's one of the best strategy games out there.

Go on youtube and search for "Arumba" he has tons of let's plays and also a tutorial series that I found pretty useful.

Marilla, this is the only tutorial you need:

Once you get how game works CK 2 is actually pretty easy (comparing to EU IV) :-)

Marilla, but CK 2 is absolutely worth your efforts and time. Best global role playing experience ever.

P.S. Just take in account that actually "conquering" whole map is not a best goal. Live lifes of your dynasty and have lot of fun ;-)

I played EU III and I found it quite easier :P

The EU games are about succeeding as a state. You don't spend too much, occasionally expand, survive wars, get to North America first, and you end up with a good score.

The CK games are dynastic. You don't win by conquering, but by subverting over generations.

I can relate to your problem. My first 4 hours of CK2 was just trying to figure out what to do next haha. Belmasv's insights were the ones I would've needed when you play it after the tutorial. Enjoy!

If you have the ruler designer DLC, then try to make your first ruler homosexual. That way you'll get fewer children, and that in turn means fewer people who will try to claim the throne. Depending on your succession laws, it might also mean that your kingdom won't be split up into as many parts.

Or you could just jail all your sons just before your ruler dies and execute them.. :3
