That just sounds like you're being nostalgic--which isn't abnormal, but it doesn't mean there's nothing inspiring about modern culture; it just means you've already experienced a lot of the good things in this world, which by its very nature, makes it harder to find new good things. So yeah, I do think you're looking in the wrong places, but I also don't blame you for being unable to find said places in the first place.

The world and culture have definitely changed, and will continue to change, but you can't forget that you have changed too. You only get to experience things for the first time once, and you can never go back to that.
There are still some amazing things happening, but as Sturgeon's law states, 90% of anything is really bad. There are a lot more things now, so a lot more bad things.

Covid screwed with a lot of people ('s emotions) and a real awakening on how people see how they are actually not really there for us, the mass demonstrations everywhere (atleast in those countries that aren't lazy to get off their couch and actually do something instead of complaining on twitter).

I enjoyed watching a fan-made video compilation of the song Max Raabe - Oops!... I Did It Again.

In the process, I compared how much the images in cinema and in society have changed. Yes, there are not as many prohibitions as before, and in order to look decent, you don’t actually have to make any effort (including due to the development of household appliances). But with this ease, it’s as if some spark has been lost.
For some reason, looking at the world of the past, I want to make an effort and become better.
For some reason, when I see something modern, fashionable and shocking, I don’t have such emotions.
Do you think this spark has really been lost due to the simplification of our existence?
Or am I just looking in the wrong place and there are truly inspiring things in modern culture?

P.S. By the way, the previous test also showed interesting statistics. Just by creating a closed giveaway, the number of participants slightly exceeded 100 people. Which is generally very good and now I definitely don't see the point in wasting time, inventing codes that you could only guess if you turned to a gypsy who would give you a hint using tarot cards and you would also study the forum with this hint in order to decipher the hidden messages.
The future train can be made comfortable for ordinary people and boring for aesthetic lovers of solving riddles.
Have a nice day and happy weekend everyone!
