An item randomly awarded to a steam account on games which have all cards used on your account. One is sent out whenever one badge gets crafted. Raising your steam level every 10 times slightly increases your chances of getting one.

I've been in a drought too. I think it has something to do with seasonal sales and stuff; booster packs are pretty common during winter/summer sales, and big events, but seem to slow over the interim. I haven't gotten many packs lately, but I still get one once in a while. A lot of it depends on the popularity of the games; booster packs are awarded when someone crafts a badge for a game, so if a game is out for a long time and people already have the cards and aren't crafting it slows the economy a bit.

Hello people!
I wanted to ask you guys something about booster packs and I figured this would be a good place to do so. Have you gotten fewer booster packs over the past few months? My Steam level is 30 and I've got 178 games and plenty of them have cards. I actually got my last booster pack before the summer sale so it's been over 4 months. Before that I used to get one every 3-4 weeks or so.
Does nobody craft badges anymore or did Valve make any changes to the system?
