SO I made this topic because I had an interesting argument with my friends last night. They said that there are loads of girls playing multi player games. I have been using steam for quite some time now and I can say that I have yet to meet a girl player. So the fact remains either they only play when I am busy or I am not just lucky enough :D Anyway just wanted to try it out sometime but it looks like it ain't happening. So share your gaming experiences here :D

Also enjoy this retro game (It's online, not give away, that will come after my exams session)

As I thought many of you would think this is stupid and comment on it just to point it out. It was made for fun.

Also I mentioned giveaways and Yes I will make them. For now I think 2-4 games will be my limit because students are poor :D (each game will go after each one of my exams and 1 game will be before my first exam). I am thinking about making the first giveaway on 5th of May 2014 and it will be Random Topic again. As for the type of giveaway I might do a puzzle to make it interesting so all you haters and non haters are welcome to join it :)

By the way this topic was made just to see if people are active in steam gifts forums :)

Women have better things to do then play video games. Excluding facebook.

99.99% of people claiming to be girls on steam are faking it, so geeks will gift them free shit.

Play on a Minecraft server. Pretty sure half of the girls who call themselves "gamers" only player mobile games or Minecraft. Some of them don't even know what Steam is ._. They also ALWAYS set their player skin to the exact same skin format. Because they sure as hell love to broadcast they are girls, with name's like "SuperCutePanda","GamerGurl13",or "PrettyPink".

I'm sure there are a lot of women who play games on Steam, but the community makes it unlikely that they would want to point it out. Girls who do are usually called attention whores, and even just using voice chat tends to get "You're a girl???" spammed at you so much that the game becomes unplayable.

If that's how you identify, then I see no reason not to. But I don't speak for everyone.

I dunno man I play all types of games, I just don't see any reason to yell out that I have boobies. Even though it's great having them. Like seriously.

I have 3 girls-gamers as my friends in Steam and they play Dota 2, TF2 and singleplayer games too (well they play even more than me). I've never met girls-gamers in real life though (just once but she quitted gaming).

I know a lot of female MP gamers. We normally find a clan that is cool with our gender or other female gamers to game with. We don't spam our sex for several reasons, "Girl gamers are better players" Our bra size does not factor into gameplay. "Does your boyfriend buy you games?" No, I can buy my own games. "Will you have my babies?" This has to do with what in gaming? "I will be your meat shield." I don't need or want a meat shield. (These have all been said to me, when guys found out I was a female gamer.) Once we have found a comftable MP gaming crew (I co-op alot), we don't move from it. I have been a "hardcore" gamer, since 2009.

While I regularly game with both men and women, those women stick to groups of people they know will not bother them simply because they're female. Nobody deserves to be harassed, regardless of gender, color, or creed. The fact that many female gamers avoid disclosing their gender is a testament to the poor behavior of many guys and the paucity of men willing to rebuff that anti-social behavior.

I've met a couple girls in DayZ and met quite a few outside of steam games. But like some have said; they don't usually announce they're a girl because of ridicule or harassment. If a girl wants to game, let her game instead of acting like a child.

There isn't an online version of the Sims currently I think, that's where they would be.

Also, thanks for the link to play pirated games directly in my browser but, probably like most people here, I already have enough backlogged games I have payed for, to not need to steal old nes ROMS which are still sold on virtual console.

Oh they are there they just don't advertise themselves. Of course some games have less girl players than others but I'm sure there is a girl in every game there is...

In my experience many hardcore girl gamers play pretty much only MMOs. Those games do fit best for the stereotypical ('average') female mind of all games.
