Ohai beautiful people!

So most of the time, I look at my game library, trying to decide which title to play, and ultimately I don’t find anything that really interests me. And I find it slightly ironic considering I have over 700 games on my account. Yeah, I know... #FirstWorldProblem.

I suppose that’s because I’m not really in the mood for gaming. Actually, I haven’t been for the better part of this year. Anyway... I was wondering if that happens to you too, guys and gals, scrolling through your games and not finding anything you’d like to play? Oh, and... out of curiosity, how many games do you own?

With that said... I gained a level in my life last September aaaaand I have been part of SG for three years now (time flies O_o) so, of course, you can have some gibs.

They are leftovers from All Stars 9, which I grabbed only for Zombie Vikings.

Edit: Thankies to all of you who have commented.

If you happen to be on my blacklist, there’s no point asking why, as I lost my tags a while ago.

When I get bored, I play fortnight battle royale or battlerite. Maybe you can also try it?

Battlerite is honestly a new gem that I discovered. Although I may be a little bit biased because I was in the hypetrain when Bloodline Champions was around; I think it is a good game for the sake of diversity.

It happens to everyone. It's not about the games or the fun, it's about how you feel with yourself. I really don't know how to explain it.

I have nothing to play either. I'm serious. Check my Steam account.

I have plenty of games to play. But none of them seem interesting ☹

I can't imagine having a ton of games to play and not liking any of them. But that's me.

Whenever I " don't have anything" it usually means I don't want to actually LEARN anything new. I have had W3 and a few others on my drive for weeks... really want to try them.... Just plays Rust.

Looks like I have 324 games on Steam. WAY more than enough for anyone.

Agreed. :)
Or how I usually think about it, "I'll just play something I already like/I'm comfortable with and not risk wasting time on something I might not enjoy."

My Steam collection is of 169 games, but I do have more on other platforms. Not that much, and consider that out of those 10 or more are old games that cannot be played, or stupid games that I have got for free and have no value. And it rarely happens to me to feel like I have nothing to play. Rather, when something like that happens is just that I am fed up with games or the genre that I have binged up until that moment.
For example, I would play like a madman RTSs up to a point, then switch to FPS games.
I hope you'll find your own reason and don't feel bad about games anymore.

P.S. Late Happy Birthday!

When you have so many awesome games all screaming to get your attention, you may as well have none. Or at least that's how I usually feel when trying to decide between the 10 or so games in my immediate backlog. I WANNA PLAY THEM ALL!!! But I can't at the same time.... So I end up playing none (or Dota 2... which is even worse). ^_^'

Though I have occasionally had situations like you described where I just feel like shit, go through my currently installed games and just say that everything would be a drag... End result is pretty much the same.

I should probably start throwing a coin or something to decide (1500 games btw). :/

Or just put your list in random.org or something like that and whatever draws you will play.

when I feel there's nothing to play, I just pick a completely random game that I haven't played before and check that out :P

I just went through that a little bit ago, nothing appealed to me. I own 245 games on Steam. I was trying to complete games I won from steamgifts but some games don't progress well and then I get bored.

Just got 3 new games, one is just exploring and very chill, Submerged. Liking it so far and the scenery is really pretty. :)

Happy belated birthday and cakeday!

Assuming you know more or less what you have in your library - when in trouble, use grid mode / lorenzostanco site to filter for genre (also in grid mode) - seeing your games as pictures makes it easier to remember them, and actually notice interesting titles :)

Great exercise: click on something on your list without checking first and, no matter how bad it looks like or out of your style, play it for at least 20 minutes. Rerolling your click is not allowed.

Maybe try playing based on what's newest/oldest or the most/least popular first and working your way in the other direction.

Many games, never had difficulty finding one I would like to play. Sometimes technical difficulties hold me back from playing one, but there is always another.

You don't need to try to play a game. Play whatever games that you want to but not you need to. Bump!

I have the opposite problem, so many games I want to play but not enough free time ;_;. Sometimes you are just not in the mood to play and that's fine, just spend time on your other hobbies instead.

+1 for having too many games with no time to play. There's like one or two games in my library I wouldn't enjoy playing, so I pretty much never have no problem finding something interesting.
