You know, I haven't drawn since I was a lil' teenager so I might just for fun. But I think care has to now be given for the possibility of AI artwork, which is crazy to think as a thing you would have had to worry about since your last contest.
(but dang that assassin's creed one from BrokenNoah is amazing)

Hard to say, people always find a reason. They do just the same elsewhere on the internet where there is nothing to gain but a tiny bit of worthless fame and appreciation.

Yeah I guess the same goes for people cheating their way through achievements on Steam and using hacks to input ludicrous scores in scoreboards. If it does anything for them, good I guess.

Yes this indeed complicates the validation of the authenticity compared to the previous years. I can add some extra measures to prevent it but probably will be hard.

Though this time there's AI around, could be tricky to verify the authenticity (I wonder how good AI is at generating different stages of the same drawing?)

I think that any decent artist who uses layers could use that as a proof of genuineness (I actually haven't seen anyone trying to do that with AI so far). However, if that would not be enough... a requirement of a timelapse could be added? That will likely decrease the number of participants though.

We've had a blast with 5 drawing contests in the past, but it's been a while since our last one because I don't have as much free time as I used to have... (classic theme around here)
