While I enjoyed the older titles like Budokai 3 and Super for the PS2 as well as the PSP games, the Tenkaichi stuff and later titles haven't appealed to me.
Plus, I enjoy Dead or Alive (well, at least 2 on the XBox).

Have you played Virtua Fighter or Tekken? Both have similarities to Dead or Alive, though DoA has a greater focus on countering attacks, has a button specifically for it.

If you enjoyed those games, DoA is worth a try then.
Also, if you have access to a PS3, look up DoA: Core Fighters, which has 4 of the game characters to play with.

+1 I have Dragonball on Wii, well story mode was shit, and battles, I just never used to them, I also guess the Wii Remote was not the best thing anyways, I played it before too on PS2 with friend, but it was his console. But I still find these first 2 more interesting, Dragonball games never really were that cool to me, I watched that anime when I was kid, but never continued, idk why.
Also the Dragonball graphics look just plain model with muscles or whatever drawn on them, and the colors are too blury, I will still get the game when it's cheap, but others are more preference.

Hmm, what a hard choice, Dead or Alive has the boobs, while Dragon Ball were always more unreal with all the rays, drifting in the air, e.t.c., personally, I love both titles, but I'd probably go for Dragon Ball first and then, after a month, I'd probably grab DoA as well :D
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend seems nice too, I've only tried Calamity Trigger though, so I can't say much about it

Dead or alive 5 shows to be limited to single player on steam. the free version on PS3 the graphics are great and fun, but hard. others i don't know. just don't preorder games, waste of money. greedy ninjas for not posting what they keys they took.

It will not have online multiplayer for the first few months. That doesn't prevent offline multiplayer.

someone already took them.
blazblue´s always a good game, and dead or alive is probably the same game as before, i guess if you dont own a game from that franchise it will be worth it.
with DBZ you might end up with another mediocre game, just like many other Nanco bandai fighting games

Good job feeding the bots with your plaintext keys/links.
Some people are just so ignorant. You don't get an answer from me due to your poor standards of operation.

I would go with whatever option includes BlazBlue, because Calamity Trigger made such a strong impression on me. The fact that you already include DoA over on that side would be my personal preference, but to be honest I don't know nearly enough about either DoA or the Dragonball games to really say. I did like what little time I had with DoA...4? I think on my friend's 360, and I had DBZ Budokai on the Gamecube way back when and liked it, and between the two I'd probably tell you DoA 5, but BlazBlue is a definite thumbs up from me unless there's some magical regression in the formula from the first game I'm not aware of (and as far as I know it's only improved).
