Motherboard doesn't affect performance in games in any way. Only thing required is that the other components are compatible with the motherboard and with quick glance it seems to be.

Checked now that the motherboard doesn't support Ivy Bridge so you should look for a different motherboard or a Sandy Bridge CPU. Might support them with a BIOS update though. I'm too lazy to confirm that now.

From my knowledge, H67 chipset motherboards supports Ivy Bridge processors ONLY after a bios update, but you can't POST and get to the bios without a working CPU, so I don't think it'll work. Get a Z77 chipset motherboard as they support Ivy Bridge CPUs natively. Not to mention, H67 chipset mobos don't allow overclocking, and yet you're getting an unlocked multiplier, highly overclockable CPU.

AsRock z77 extreme4.
Got it for around 100, goes for around 120 US on Newegg. Supports 2 x16 cards, and 6 SATA devices. OC's nicely.
Cutting down to 8GB of ram would be a good money saver. No point in 16gb and 4sticks of ram just adds to the chance of instability or RMA. Had Corsair Vengeance from newegg, had to RMA the lot because one section on one stick was bad.

For the price I'd still get the AsRock I recommend. The ASUS only has one pci-e 3.0 slot, less SATA connectors, and quite a few people reporting DOAs.

Virtually any board being sold now will have shipped with a recent enough BIOS that it would support Ivy Bridge, so that shouldn't be an issue anymore.
But yeah, a K series processor is wasted on an H67 based board.

Ah I see, didn't know that. I'm glad that's the case now.

Why not get a Z77 board instead? Putting such a CPU into a board chipset that's made for integrated graphics (H supports integrated graphics, P supports overclocking, Z supports both) is almost like an insult lol...rather get ASRock Z77 Extreme4; it have a similar price as your choice.
