Probably I should add some question to keep this thread alive but I'm out of ideas so you ask questions.

You need a question to answer? How about, "What will it take before EA realizes their anti-customer policies are bad business?"

42.
On a more serious note I think they've already noticed something's wrong going on judging by improving a little Origin and announcing Battlefield 1 :)

I'm not sure it really is bad business. They just have a different viewpoint. For example:

1) trying to own the distribution chain (i.e. origin) is good business, and historically EA did very well by owning their own distribution chain
2) not heavily discounting their product means maintaining the value of that product. The current environment of heavily discounted games has decreased the perceived value of games, with many consumers willing to wait a long time for AAA games to be heavily discounted. But if you know that a game will never get that heavily discounted, there's less incentive to wait. It also helps maintain the higher price point, and reduces the incentive to buy an older version of a series (is CoD Black Ops 3 so much better than CoD 4 MW that it's worth paying 4 times as much? probably not. But twice as much? Maybe)

Just because we don't like their policies, doesn't necessarily mean it's bad business.

Those weren't the policies to which I was referring, but those practices can be annoying, yes.
