Sometimes Steamgifts fails to sync with Steam. Maybe Steam is down or something, or there is some rate limit. Manual sync or waiting usually fixes this later.

Luckily, I still have another 2 days before my account syncs (it automatically syncs every 72 hours). Hopefully it gets fixed soon though for those that have been affected already since that is the easiest and best way to find giveaways to enter.

Thanks for letting me know. It looks like Steam released some changes today, breaking the wishlist functionality here. I'm rewriting the code now, and I'll try to get it back online asap.

Oh wow, wishlist giveaways were showing up for me (synced 5 hours ago). Went to go sync just now to test it out after seeing this post and yep, it's empty now.

Was reading the forums yesterday and it seemed that Steam had changed the wishlist to show games that are no longer purchasable but on your wishlist. This means people can now remove them. I did check mine but nothing showed up - I have at least 30 on my wishlist which do not show up so cannot be removed.
Some people noted they were able to remove games, others like me could see no change.
Perhaps Steam is still tweaking our wishlists.

I pushed a fix to the site which should resolve the issue. If you resync your account, your games will be back.

Hmm, it seems to be an issue with certain characters in the Steam tags corresponding to your wishlisted games. If you try again, it should be resolved for you, and anyone else with a similar issue. Thanks for the heads up, otherwise I wouldn't have seen the issue.

Hey Cg, I still have the bug although i tried the suggested fix regarding the extra characters (tried changing the name back to normal letters without any special characters) and tried to sync again multiple times still didn't work.

Oh, I was referencing extra characters in the Steam code, not related to the username or anything along those lines, so you don't need to worry about changing anything. It stopped syncing again because it seems like Steam is broken, and wishlists don't load for anyone when not logged in.

SteamDB addon interferes with the sync. I kept trying, but it wouldn't update. Then it occurred to me to try disabling the addon, and that worked.

I released another fix that will prevent a user's wishlist from emptying when Steam is down. If your account did attempt to recently sync and your wishlist is empty, you'll need to wait for Steam to come back online (it's down at the moment and you cannot open a Steam wishlist unless you're logged in).

If you try to open a user's wishlist in a private window (where you're not logged into Steam Community), the page doesn't load (well, at least for myself and everyone I asked).

I'm not in a private window. Everything is normal, still no wishlist. It also takes an abnormal amount of time to sync, like 10+ seconds. Normally it takes less than 5.

He is saying you have to check from a private window without being logged in, so you can understand that the wishlist is not available without a steam account.
It doesn't matter if the if the wishlist works for you if you are logged in... Steamgifts gets the wishlist data without an account.

We know you have an account 😉 Just trying to explain it to you why syncing doesn't work. We all have an account, but it doesn't work for any of us, because steamgifts scrapes the data that's available without an account and right now the library data isn't available without an account.

Looks like you can't acces the owned games list either without an account. I think they have limited library visibilty intentionally. The privacy settings page is still the old one.

There seems to be some problem with German users. German law forced steam to remove some games from German users, and now the problem has expanded.
