"Gifts On Deck" has a strong emphasis on gifting games that can be played and are enjoyable on the Steam Deck. Exclusive only to members of a profile that has purchased a Steam Deck.

To join:

  1. When you buy a Steam Deck, you can claim rewards on your account. Before requesting to join, display those "untradable steam deck items" that you received when claiming. The items must be on your profile/item showcase at the time you request to join (or in your inventory if you've made it public). Leave the items on your profile at least until I have verified and added you to the group. [If you haven't claimed your rewards, click on your avatar in the top right and you'll see it in the menu.]

  2. Post a comment below about your steam deck (a favorite game or what you're currently playing, etc). I will reply to your comment when you've been accepted. I will no longer accept any requests to join the group without a comment in this thread.

I'm currently playing Subnautica on my Steam Deck, even though I only have it on my Epic library. Deck also allows that easily.
I often do retrogaming on my Deck. Perfect device for that.

Is it hard to install Epic on the Steam Deck?

I can't remember exactly the steps, but I did it with Lutris.
I also use Lutris for installing and launching games from a couple of other platforms and for drm-free games.
I've read many people use Heroic Games Launcher for games from Epic and GOG libraries. I haven't tried it, but it might be an easier alternative.

Heroic Games Launcher is easy to install and has worked for almost everything Epic on my deck so far. GOG stuff is a bit more hit and miss.

I've been playing Vampire Survivors and similar games the most lately, which the Deck is perfect for.

I put Deck stuff in my item showcase.

Before buying a game now, I always consider whether it's Verified / Playable and check ProtonDB, because most of my gaming for the last year has been on the Deck. Absolutely love it!

Most of my gaming is on the Deck now too. I mostly just play Rocket League with friends on my PC.

I'd like to join. I don't have the steam deck items, since I got the steam deck as a second-hand present this Christmas. I put proof that I own it in the picture, with my steamgifts name.

Currently playing Gris, which is excellent. The Steam Deck works perfectly

The only problem I have, is that the way I play, it's to take a lot of screenshots. And it was a problem trying to pass the screenshots from the steamdeck to the PC. Apparently there is no way to put in bulk all the screenshots to Steam, AND then download all the screenshots to the PC. Too much trouble, we are talking about hundreds of screenshots in Gris, which is not even a visual novel.

I tried kde Connect, which comes in the Deck natively, and then I installed in the PC. But I couldn't press the button to copy it.

The solution I found was to copy the screenshots to an Micro SD, and then put the SD on the PC. I managed to transfer all the screenshots without trouble.

Hi quijote, that's a heck of a Christmas present right there! That person must know you well (considering you've been on this site for 10 years) they must know you're a big Steam fan! Right now the group is only open to people with the items but I might open it up for others in the future. I will consider this as I can see you are a long time user of this site.

I have requested to join. I've added the DEX keyboard theme to my showcase.

In terms of favourite games, I've actually set up a 'perfect on deck' steam category which I believe is up to about 21 games or so now that I have 100% on SD!

They include games such as Spider Man, Spider Man Miles Morales, The Forgotten City, and a bunch more I can't remember right now...

Thanks, I highly recommend getting the Dredging and Diving bundle on Steam as they're perfect on the deck. But if you had to choose just one, I'd say Dave the Diver for sure. It has tons more content, so many side quests, mini-games, and upgrades that I would've paid AAA price for it. Also, it's cheaper than Dredge but also has a free cross-over dlc to boot, which is pretty fun too!

Great idea for a group. I've been playing a lot of pinball on my deck (FX, FX3, Zaccaria before it broke). The triggers are so much better as flippers than a keyboard. I have the ugly pink circle as my mini profile hover.

i played Vampire Survivors and https://store.steampowered.com/app/432350/Epic_Battle_Fantasy_5/ (even if it says unsupported it works well)

I put the items in the item showcase, but here's a shortcut to the profile item https://steamcommunity.com/id/Sh4dowKill/inventory/#753_6_22297572408

according to https://steamdb.info/app/1675200/communityitems/#item-class-reward-bundles the rewards for buying a steam deck are:
Steam Deck 64GB Reward Bundle

  • Night Shift - 5,000 points
  • Candy Coded - 5,000 points
  • Steam Green - 5,000 points

Steam Deck 256GB Reward Bundle

  • Steam Deck - 10,000 points
  • previous rewards

Steam Deck 512GB Reward Bundle

  • DEX-85 - 5,000 points
  • previous rewards

Steam Deck 1024GB OLED Reward Bundle

  • OLED - 5,000 points
  • OLED - 3,000 points

i was wondering why i didn't got a DEX-85 keyboard for my 256

It took me a while to manage the item showcase... but I managed and added you.I got 512gb non-OLED one

I purchased a steam deck because DAD reasons and I thought I might go through my backlog with that (like the ones also purchased DAD station)

Plans have been delayed so far, but I can say Diablo IV was my best experience. I would never believe it if someone told me during the late '90s when we were playing Diablo 1, hey one day it will be in your pocket. You can play when you go sh.t.

I'm playing Slay the Spire on the SD. It is kind of perfect for it: it consumes very little battery and it doesn't require my full attention so I can also watch some TV show or movie. I plan to play Creaks next on it.
I didn't use the profile theme but I displayed it instead on my profile's item showcase.(I'm not sure I could get my theme back if I used it)

Requested to join, very interesting. I have deck profile frame equipped, I just get an error when I try to add items to my showcase but here is a screenshot of them in my inventory.

My favorite game on Deck is Coromon, a pokemon like game which was my first one to download and start playing on Deck. I got my deck (512 gb OLED version) at the end of November. Best purchase of the year. Also enjoyed playing Battle Chef Brigade Deluxe on it. I can keep talking about it, I really love playing One Hand Clapping, the game where you need to sing and solve puzzles, I play it with my mom on the weekends and we have tons of fun.

Thanks for the chance! I've primarily used my Deck for emulating games which works as a charm, the last time I tried both an Ace Attorney game and Ghost Trick before it got ported to Steam. For actual Steam games I played the Deck verified Spiral Scouts. In general it's a great device for when I'm sick or otherwise out of energy and can play light games without having to get up and sit at the PC.
My profile should be showing the correct Deck exclusive background, otherwise let me know!

As someone who grew up playing either portable (GBC, GBA, PSP) or PC, I feel that the Deck is probably the best piece of hardware I have ever bought. There is almost nothing I cant play on this device without some trouble shooting and a few tweaks based on personal preference, with fast-paced FPS games being its only obvious weakness.
Currently I'm playing Persona 5 Royal, Armored Core 6, Vampire Survivors, Dwarf Fortress and a bunch of old backlog games that I always wanted to get back to but could never find the time.
By the way, If you need more info regarding game compatibility on the Deck, try: https://www.protondb.com/.
