It messes up the formatting on mobile, but it's totally worth it.

I wouldn't say I get giddy with excitement at seeing the cat (though it's probably something sorta close), but I do get stressed hoping to see the cat.
In that brief moment when I wait for the site to load: "Come on, space cat... come on, space cat... COME ON, SPACE CAT!"
---no cat---
DAMMIT!

Especially when its for a game you really want and you log in at the precise time to see 20 seconds left of the giveaway and you F5 like a man possessed by the Steam Gifts demon to watch the counter slowly erode all the while wishing to see space cat appear once the last second arrives and then you are like:-
"DAM!!!! F*CK THAT OTHER BASTARD WHO JUST STOLE MY WIN!"
LOL!

I hate it, every time I see space cat I imagine my touhou ratio getting rekt because I won some mordor GOTY worth 100 points, and I'm already short on points.

Things are too stressful without having to worry about that stuff.
No disrespect to groups with ratios (seriously, a fair amount of them seem cool), but I don't join them because I personally don't want to be pinned down by ratios, monthly/weekly requirements, limits on what I can give away...
I need to be free! LOL

I agree I couldn't care a shit about ratios. I am here to do giveaways and have the occassional bit of fun. People in this place with all their silly group requirements about this ratio and this CL level take this shit far too seriously. Beside giving should come from the heart not the head.
Besides I am a man in his late thirties with a good job and salary with a fair chunk of disposable income at my hands if I was inclined to go crazy buying games which I don't since games are not the be end and be all of life. Most of everything I can afford myself. I certainly don't need specialty groups to help me along.

Lol, I hope you didn't take my reply too seriously. It's in fact the group thanks to which I met bunch of awesome people on SG, won dozen of awesome giveaways and spent hundreds of hours, chatting and playing, while at the same time spending my own free time programming the bot, making the website, implementing group achievements and doing everything else so we can have even more fun together.
If you're not into giveaway groups, you're actually missing a lot. There is a time when you stop caring about how much you win, you start giving away stuff to people you actually know and actually like very much, just to make them happy. I'd probably never achieve more than 50-60 giveaways created if it wasn't for awesome people I met here. And yes, making public or invite-only giveaways is nowhere close to the awesome feeling of giving away and winning a game from the same person.
But of course, it's your choice how and if at all, you want to give away stuff. I say you're missing the fun.

I am not recruiting you, you'd actually have hard time joining my group. I just say how SG groups work in general, at least those with active community and not just hundred of random people who don't even know eachother.
The only people saying bad things for private groups are those who are in none. And I'm not even wondering why :3.

Oh please grow up little one - have you seen my backlog? Do you honestly think I care for one second about joining your group or any other group to win things?
Disillusion of grandeur much?
This discussion is now at an end. As I said I AM HERE TO DO GIVEAWAYS. NOT TO WIN! NOR TO JOIN SILLY GROUPS FILLED WITH LITTLE PEOPLE BRANDISHING BIG EGOS!
How difficult is that to understand!
Adios.

Everything sucks and life is sad, but sometimes "epileptic cat" shows itself and it brings a smile to my face and melts my cold, hard heart. Momentarily.
That's a "yes".

I've had to move on several occasions because I've kept burning the house down... That cat gif just brings out this wild side in me.

Celebratory bonfires are a must when winning a GA!

Who else gets giddy with excitement when logging in and seeing that little cat gif flashing colours telling you that you have won something?
