So, I tried Playstation Now on the weekend, and it's surprisingly good. Latency is actually quite low (barely noticeable in most games). Image quality is alright. So, I decided I want to play some of the best PS3/4 exclusives available. Games like The Last Of Us and Heavy Rain. In order to be able to play all of them, I bought a Dualshock 4 controller (v2). I just got it and plugged it in my PC at work. I am a little confused. It does not register as Dualshock controller, just as generic HID device. I know there is unofficial software out there to emulate an XBox controller in order to use it with all games, but that's not what I want. I am only interested in using it with PSNow anyway (I prefer the XBox controller). So my question is, when I come home tonight and connect it via USB, will PSNow recognize the controller without problems or do I have to do anything else? I cannot find any official drivers, at least.

Sorry only have used it with Steam, which has official dual shock 4 support since last year if I remember correctly, works great there. :) Otherwise, don't know.

ok, and you didn't have to install any specific driver? just plug it in (USB) and configure in Steam? if so, that would probably mean it will work out of the box in PSNow.

I am actually quite sure it will work out of the box. just want someone to confirm this, so i can start playing tonight and don't have to figure anything out. ^^

It doesn't need any manual drivers from what I recall.
But if you are having issues with it you can try forcing a reinstall.

You might need DS4Windows to get the DS4 to work on some games and outside Steam. It will still show up as a generic HID device though. I don't use PSNow so i don't know how it's supposed to work, but with DS4Windows you can enable the usual features on the gamepad (such as the headphone jack, customizing the lightbar or turning it off - Sony please add this feature on PS4! - and setting different profiles for each game or application) and get it to work in wireless mode.

Wow. 15 Euro im Monat.

Jedenfalls sollte der DS4 out of the Box funktionieren, DS3 needs an emulation software as far as I know.

Habe zwar einiges angezockt, aber bislang hauptsächlich The Last Of Us gespielt. Allein dafür lohnt es sich schon. :)

Ja, das war auch der Punkt, als ich das Spiel ausgemacht habe ;) Dafür habe ich gestern Alex the Kidd in Miracle World in Rekord-Zeit durchgezockt. War magisch.

With steam there is no issue and i also played many drm-free games which recognised the ps4 controller. You should normally have no issue with it considering you are using a playsation software.
