• Saints Row: The Third
  • Saints Row 2
  • Risen 2: Dark Waters
  • Sacred 2: Gold Edition

Pay over the average and receive:

  • Dead Island: Game of the Year Edition
  • Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package, which includes a bunch of DLC.

And if you pay $25 or more, you’ll get the sequel to Dead Island, Dead Island: Riptide.

Don't bother paying $25 for Riptide. It was $19.99 during the Steam Summer Sale and it will most likely go back onsale on other sites sooner or later.

Won't it also give you the normal BTA games though? Also you get to choose how much goes to charity.

Any idea why I'm still allowed to buy the Season Pass for SR3? Are they planning to still add content?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

There shouldn't be any plans for new content. They've already released the Full Package version and IV is about to come out. Seems like a bug or lazy coding, assuming you have Full Package already.

Well, there are actually 2 DLCs that don't come with it, but they're the cheat DLCs that permanently ruin the game anyway. There's a reason they're not included, and that reason is a great reason. But that's probably why, really. I wish they'd have thrown in those final 2 DLCs, though, and then provided us with a means of deactivating them.

And now they'll throw the Stalker games in as unlocks, just because I got them through Steam last week. I should have played by my own Summer Sale rules and not activated anything I bought unless I played them.

Devalued games in your inventory wont make you happy either. I luckily didn't buy anything this time that I didn't play right away.

I don't know if anyone mentioned this, but this is a heads up. If you don't already have a copy of Saints Row the Third (meaning either you haven't activated the non-BTA key from this bundle or you didn't own it before), you will not be able to activate the BTA key because it requires you to own the base game since it just includes the DLCs. So you have to activate the non-BTA key first (unless you already have a copy of Saints Row the Third on your account. Presumably this means that you won't be able to give away the BTA key by itself. Unfortunately it's already on the bundle list, but hopefully they'll remove that restriction, all things considered.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Considering their TOS stats that you're not allowed to give or trade away part of the bundle and that it's for your personal use only, there's not a chance that they will remove this restriction.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Really just more of a formality. There's no way to track it. But what I'm saying is that none of the games (except Saints Row The Third) should be considered bundled for people who want to legitimately buy the games and give them away because they're not individual keys.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Problem is, people will still give the key as one of the game to avoid bundle limitation. It happened with every other single-key bundle before and that's why all games get bundled even though you technically can't give them away individually.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Well, perhaps, but the THQ single-key games weren't bundled at the time(though later Darksiders, Red Faction Armageddon, and Metro 2033 were later for other reasons). I don't think a few bad apples should spoil it for everyone, though.

I don't even get what you're trying to say and how it's an argument against me.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Ok, I read it as "I hope they remove the restriction of not be able to activate the 2nd key without the base game" while you were probably talking about SR3: FUll package being bundled.

Since someone could still give away both keys for full CV I'm guessing it will stay bundled. Although, it doesn't come that cheap and only gives 85% off.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I was really talking about Dead Island specifically. And they can't officially do that, though if the person who wins the giveaway never reports it, I guess they'd get away with it. But if the winner doesn't already have the base SR3 on their account, they can't even activate the key since it's just DLCs and it requires the base game to activate even the Dead Island part of the key.

Yes. The BTA key is actually DLCs only, even though it says the full package. It assumes you already activated the first one.

I already own Dead Island (and even planned to make a giveaway for it, but it'll probably get bundled at this rate) so there's no real reason for me to pay the BTA.
