The price on steam is very, very VERY expensive. I'm from Brazil, so $1 = R$ 5,42 ...

It's only ever been -50% https://steamdb.info/app/814380/

It's Activision, they don't generate keys for some games, this being one of them. Unless by some miracle it's in a Humble Bundle a decade or two from now.

IsThereAnyDeal is useful for something like this. There's currently no sale, but it goes on sale for 50% off every few months, so if you're patient you can add it to your wishlist and wait, and at least get half off.

With only that simple comparison of USD to R$ as an indicator of financial purchasing power, people from japan should have much much more difficulty in buying anything. 1 USD = 144 JPY.
You should change all your R$ into JPY and live a rich life there. Most of us should. :)

Wow, what a rude thing to say.

Maybe you got me wrong. The truth is that for most of us, living in Japan would be very expensive, even if the numerical value of the JPY is like that. It's more complicated than just comparing the numbers of the currencies against each other, that's what I tried to say.

Yeah, it's like the same thing with saying, oh, It's harder to live in USA than europe because the game prices are quite cheaper because 1$ = 0.89 eur. Quite stupid thing to write or say, imo...
Polish people be like, we kind of feel you bro, it's 1$ = 3.83 PLN. 😅

I think it might help compare purchasing power if I mention that the current legal minimum monthly wage in Brazil for a 44-hour-per-week job (usually, that means 8h-12h, 14h-18h, Monday through Friday, plus 8h-12h Saturday) is 1412 BRL. The exchange rate has varied wildly recently, but taking that 5.42 as reference, that's 260.52 USD per month. A 44-hour-per-week month has 190.67 work hours in it, so that's about 1.36 USD per hour.

The game's current price on the store is 274.00 BRL. Converting the monthly minimum wage to hourly results in 7.40 BRL/hour (= 1.36 USD/hour). That's 37 hours of work for the game at full price, or almost a full week. Meaning, it's not exactly pocket change. Games in general are an expensive commodity, but 274 BRL is honestly well into the territory of what I'd consider ridiculous; I outright refuse to shell out that much money for a game.

Granted, there are plenty more factors (besides, you could argue that someone earning the Brazilian minimum wage isn't buying full-price AAA games on Steam because they have to channel that money into first-degree necessities such as food, and you'd be right), but this is an easy one if you just want a basic overview to have a general idea of what the landscape is like.

Anyone educated knows what you wrote... The ridiculous thing is writing $1 = R$ 5,42.... It's like saying I'm from Poland and 1$ = 3.83 PLN...(The purchasing power in Poland is so much more than in Brasil... and it's not because of the 1.59 difference between the numbers)
