Giveaway # | Level | Type | Number of users who passed SGTools check | Number of entries the day before | Final number of entries | Users who can enter if they see the link | Winner Level | Reroll needed? |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Level 0+ | SGTools, almost no restrictions | 840 | 442 | 602 | 852,000 | 0 | No |
2 | Level 0+ | SGTools, basic restrictions | 582 | 352 | 451 | Not enough data to calculate | 3 | No |
3 | Level 3+ | Invite only | NA | 347 | 440 | 24,500 | 4 | No |
4 | Level 5+ | Invite only | NA | 180 | 223 | 6,430 | 5 | No |
5 | Level 7+ | Public | NA | 133 | 254 | 1,550 | 10 | No |
Note the number of users who can enter assumes that users don't have the game and are not suspended. The actual number should be somewhat lower.
"Number of users who passed SGTools check" is actually the number of links given. It could be that some passed the check but did not click to get the link, but most just get the link regardless, so the numbers are probably not that different.

That's why this number stands for "Users who can enter if they see the link" and not "Users who are likely to see the link". They can technically enter, but I'm not expecting that a large number will. Forum linked GAs for an indy game like this rarely get hundreds of entries, regardless of entry requirements (level etc).

The number is actually closer to 21K, but I have a feeling that many users simply stop when they find themselves on a foreign (to SG) site that requires them to log in via Steam. I wonder if more detailed information (such as the link I added to the first GA) would help convince more people to actually follow through and log in.
It would be interesting to see what percentage of people who click on links to SGTools-protected GAs actually log into the site.

your definition for "(somewhat) active users",
Amount of those who visit/join site/GAs once within a week (or even month) at any given time.
Just look at the userlist, each page has almost only inactive users, plus a bunch of dead weight that signed up and never returned.
The big 50+-100k copy GAs show it too, that there are far fewer than 100k around.

If you liked The Stanley Parable, I think you’re going to like this game by the same creator. The Beginner's Guide is another experimental meta-game that's interesting and thought provoking, though less amusing than the previous game and somewhat darker in tone. Just don’t expect a “regular” game and keep in mind that it’s relatively short at less than 2 hours. The 86% positive votes from 9K reviews on Steam are fitting in my opinion.
Below are 5 giveaways for this game. If you're interested in this game, please enter as many as you can. Don't worry about the possibility of winning more than one GA. If it happens I'll just reroll the extra wins and will let you keep one.
And yes, I'm well aware most people here don't need the extra explanation in parenthesis :-)
All giveaways end in one week.
Good luck!
